Note:
• The hard disk is highly susceptible to impact.
Handle it with utmost care not to drop it or hit it
against any object. Do not touch the board surface and pins.
• This manual provides the illustrations of the
accessory parts and machine that may be
slightly different in shape from yours. In that
case, instead of the illustrations, use the
appearance of your machine to follow the
installation procedure. This does not cause any
significant change or problem with the procedure.

(1) Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the
power cord from the power outlet.
(2) Remove the cord clamp if used to secure the
power cord of the main body. (One screw)

This part is used only when installing in Europe
or Taiwan.

(6) Connect the supplied cables to the hard disk.
(Two cables)
(3) Remove the seven caps.
(4) Remove the lower cover. (11 screws)

Attach the supplied ferrite core to the cable A as
shown in the illustration.

(5) Remove the sheet from the main body.
(Five screws)
Note:
Size of screw A only is different.
(8) Attach both the hard disk and the ground terminal to the main body. (Two supplied screws)
Note:
Hook the two claws of the hard disk at the positions shown in the illustration.

(11) Attach the sheet removed in step (5). (Five
screws)
Note:
Tighten the sheet together with the hard disk at the
positions B.
(9) Connect the cables installed in step (6) to the
machine.
Note:
Ensure that the cables A and B do not contact with
the MFP board.

(12) To install the covers and other parts removed in
steps (2) to (4), reverse the removal procedure.
(10) Place the cable A in the wire saddle and place
the cables A and B in the edge cover.

3. Configuration procedures
<HDD mirroring rebuilding>
(1) Plug the power cord into the power outlet and
turn ON the power switch.
(2) Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
(3) Touch “State Confirmation.”
(4) Touch “Memory/Storage Adjustment.”
(5) Display the second page touching the arrow
keys.
(6) Select “HDD Mirroring Rebuild.”
(7) Press the start key.
The mirroring rebuilding starts.
Note:
• It takes approximately 1 hour to process the
rebuilding.
• Do not turn OFF the power switch or unplug the
power cord during the process.
• Once the rebuilding is executed, it cannot be
stopped temporarily or terminated forcibly
during the process.
• Jobs can be executed during the process, however, it takes longer to finish the process.
• For details, see the Service Manual.

rebuild condition>
(1) Display the Service Mode screen.
(For details of how to display the Service Mode
screen, see the service manual.)
(2) Touch “State Confirmation.”
(3) Touch “Memory/Storage status.”
(4) Check the status.
