2. Introduction.
HG Skin cleaner is used for cleaning of mink skin in all pelting stations. After
brushing the skin in the machine, loose hair and fixed sawdust are removed
and the skin is left clean with regularly turned hair. The machine also
massages the leather, so that the skin is getting softer and more flexible,
which gives a more representative skin.
At the side of the HG skin cleaner there is mounted an air pipe, which can be
used at the working operation to remove sawdust remains inside the skin.
HG Skin cleaner is manufactured on the purpose of making a simple and
user minded product, that still is in conformity with demands of security and
working environment.
2.1 Warranty.
There is 1 year of warranty on the HG Skin cleaner.
Defect parts can be replaced, if the defect can be assigned to a fabrication
error. Errors, which can be assigned to freight is not included in this
warranty.
In cases of irresponsible treatment of the HG Skin cleaner, no warranty is
given neither on the machine nor on the damaged skins.
3. Warning.
Read the users manual thoroughly before using the machine.
The HG Skin cleaner is only for cleaning of skins.
The operator must have instructions in use of the machine.
By cleaning of skin, there always has to be used suction. The suction
removes loose hair and sawdust, which can be harmful for health and
airway.
Persons who are working with the machine must not wear loose clothes or
long hair, because of the rotating brushes. Avoid putting your fingers or other
objects down to the rotating brushes.

5. Connection of the skin cleaner.
Before using the skin cleaner, it has to be supplied correctly with mains
voltage, air and suction in order to obtain the optimal cleaning of the skins.

5.1 Connection of voltage.
HG Skin cleaner is fit with a 16A CEE-socket (1) to which 400 volt is
connected with earth. The engine has a maximum consumption during
running on 1,1A.
For control and turning of direction of rotation see section 6 ”Operating
instructions”.
NB: The machine is supplied with a security relay to avoid an uncontrolled
start by connection of voltage.
Electric wires must always be placed so that they do not disturb the operator
and no danger of being twisted into the rotating brushes.

5.2 Connection of suction.
Beneath the skin cleaner there is a ø55mm pipe (2) where there has to be
mounted a suction.
The pipe fits to the mouthpiece on most of the larger industrial vacuum
cleaners. The suction pipe can be mounted after 2 methods. If the operator
wants the machine to be plane with table edge without overhang, there has
to be drilled a hole in the table beneath the pipe in order to connect the tube.
The operator can also choose to let the machine overhang the table edge
and connect the suction tube outside the table. Loosen up the screws to the
legs and adjust them longer backwards. Then tighten up the screws again.
Pay attention that the machine does not tip over.
5.3 Connection of compressed air.
Connection of compressed air is free. If you do not use the connection piece
for blowing off the sawdust, it is not necessary to connect air.
If the blowpipe has to be used, there has to be connected compressed air on
the air connection piece (3) with a quick fit coupling of the type Cejn 320.
The compressed air, which is connected to the machine, has to be filtered
and must maximum have a operating pressure on 10 bar.
5.4 Relocation.
Before moving the HG skin cleaner disconnect the electrical connection, the
suction tube and the compressed air.
By a new set-up on a new location the above procedure is repeated.
Warning:
Do not lift up the machine in the protective screens of the brushes..
The weight of the machine is 30 kg.

6. Operation instructions.
When your HG Skin cleaner is connected (see ”Connection of the skin
cleaner”), the machine is ready for operating.
Switch on air and suction before starting the machine. Check that the
emergency stop button is partly activated by turning the red button a ¼
round with the watch. Then start up the machine by pushing the green button
on the dashboard, and then the red button turns off. In emergency situations,
the emergency stop is used to stop the machine.
Check that the brushes rotate in the direction of the arrow. If not, stop the
machine again, and pull out the CEE socket. Inside the CEE socket of the
machine, there is a phase inverter. Turn the white plate with two socket legs
a ½ round with a screwdriver until it fits again. Connect electricity to the
machine again, start and check the rotation direction again.
Never use the machine without suction, then dust and sawdust will whirl
around in the room, which gives a bad cleaning, and it is bad for the health.
The skin is held with your left hand around the head and the right hand
around the tail. With the backside against the front of the machine the skin is
lead down between the brushes, so that the left hand is right outside the
protective screen. The skin is lead through the machine with a steady pull
slant ways down at left (the direction of the arrow), at the same the skin is
hold tight by holding back with the tail. Lead the skin through the machine
with a steady speed, so that you avoid stripes.
If the skin is not clean enough repeat the above procedure.
During the brushing some sawdust is loosened inside the skin. Then lead the
head of the skin up above the air tube on the right side of the machine and
activate the compressed air by pushing easily up. Now the skin is blown
clean inside and the brushing process is finished.

7. Maintenance.
The HG Skin cleaner is manufactured with maintenance free bearings and
strained belts in order to minimize the maintenance of the machine. However
you still have to clean the belts and the brushes, which are wearing parts,
and they have to be changed after need.
7.1 Cleaning.
You can clean the HG Skin cleaner with air or water. By cleaning with water,
avoid flushing directly on the operating box and the engine.
When you clean around the brushes, first disconnect the electric and the air
