Initial use − Clean the milk frother and all parts, as described in the “Cleaning” section. 10 Before you start: Tips for the optimal result Before you start: Tips for the optimal result • Always use fresh cow’s milk, if possible. Other milk varieties behave differently when frothing and may foam over more easily. • UHT milk/fresh milk with a higher fat content is also suitable, but the consistency of the milk foam depends on the milk variety. • You can also use the milk frother for alternative milk products, such as soy drinks, oat drinks or almond drinks. However, frothing is different from frothing milk and there may be differences. • Do not use milk that has been stored in the container over a longer period of time. • Do not try to froth the milk again if the result was already not satisfactory during the first frothing. The milk may scald easily. • If the milk foam is too liquid, let is rest for around 30 seconds. The liquid milk will sink to the bottom and the milk foam will have a better consistency. • Do not heat up cooled off milk a second time, pour it way instead. Use WARNING! Scalding and burning hazard! The milk frother heats up during operation and emits hot steam, which may cause burns or scalding! If the lid is not closed property when switching on, hot milk may spray out. − Only hold the milk frother by the handle. Also inform other users of the dangers! − Keep away from the escaping steam. − Note that hot steam can still escape from the milk frother even after it is switched off! − Always put on the lid before switching on the milk frother. Make sure that the lid is inserted correctly and tightly. 11 Use NOTE! Risk of damage! Improper handling of the milk frother may result in damage. − The whisk insert that is used in the milk jug must be completely covered with milk. If the quantity of milk is too small, the appliance may overheat and with too much milk, the milk might foam over. Froth the milk 1. Remove the lid 1 . 2. Blue - milk is NOT heated and frothed. After you have selected the desired function, the LED indicator flashes for 3 seconds. After that, the LED indicator lights up continuously and the milk is prepared according to the selected settings. Once the milk is ready, the LDE flashes for approx. 20 seconds.
