STEP 1: INSPECT Carefully remove components from packaging and lay them out
on a smooth work-surface. Carefully uncoil light string. Inspect all aspects of product
carefully.
Return product to manufacturer if any part of the light string, cord, or connector is cut,
damaged, cracked, frayed or if any connector or lamp-socket is damaged or loosened,
or any wire is exposed.
STEP 2: SELECT LOCATION FOR SOLAR PANEL and visualize where you would like
the light string to be. Things to keep in mind:
∙ Light string is 10m long. NOTE: The first 0.7m (from solar panel) have no bulbs.
∙ Solar panel must face south in order to capture most energy from sun.
∙ Solar panel can peg into the ground, or be mounted into railing, siding or other
suitable support.
∙ Solar panel uses light sensor for ON/OFF, so must be located away from nighttime
illumination.
STEP 3: INSTALL BULBS With light string un-plugged (no power), insert only 1 watt
DC LED Bulbs with standard E27 base into each socket and gently tighten clockwise
until fully seated in rubber seal. Do not over tighten.
STEP 4: INSTALL SOLAR PANEL, AND CHARGE BATTERY: Once a suitable location is
chosen, securely install solar panel with light panel facing south at an angle
perpendicular to midday sun.
Your options are as follows:
a.Using ground stake, place stake securely into ground in suitable location. Or,
b.Using screws to mount stake tube securely into wall or siding.
LET CHARGE ONE FULL DAY BEFORE CONNECTING LIGHT STRING. Or
alternatively precharge using micro USB cable (not included).
STEP 5: TEST Connect the male end of the light string into the female end of the Solar
Panel cord.
On the back side of the solar panel, turn the switch to "ON". Then, test the bulbs by
covering the solar panel with a dark towel (to activate the sensor). Check each bulb
to see that it is lit up.If not,adjust tension on bulb.
STEP 6: INSTALL LIGHT STRING with light string UN-PLUGGED (no power) attach
"eyelet holes" to supporting structure or guide wire using smooth surfaced fasteners
such as 12 gauge copper wire, eyebolts or brackets (not included), or heavy duty uv
resistant cable ties.
NOTE: maximum unsupported distance is 6m.
NOTE: use only appropriately rated guide wire (cable) for spans beyond 6m.
NOTE: light sockets must hang downward, not sideways or upward. This is to prevent
water from getting in the socket.

CAUTION: Risk of Shock and Fire
This is an electrical product with inherent risks! To avoid risk of burns, fire, personal
injury or electrical shock, it must be used properly and kept out of reach of children.
It is not a toy!
∙ USE ONLY 1 watt DC bulbs, E27 standard base LED bulbs.
∙ Do not use for marking emergency exits.
∙ DO NOT EXCEED 1 watts per bulb.
∙ DO NOT USE AC bulb (use only 1 watt DC LED bulbs with E27 standard base).
∙ Do not use within 5m of hot tubs, pools or spas or anywhere it might fall and
become submersed in such liquid filled devices.
∙ Do not allow bulbs (lamps) to rest upon supply cord, electrical cord or any wire.
∙ Do not cover the light string or bulbs with paper,plastic,cloth or any other material.
∙ Do not hang ornaments, clothing or any other object from cord, bulb, wire or any
other part of extension cord or light string.
∙ Do not remove bulbs or inspect product components unless disconnected from
power source.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
∙ Regularly inspect condition of fasteners and fix or replace if showing wear or
insecure attachment or support.
∙ Regularly inspect condition of light string and power cord (from solar unit).
If light string, sockets or any other aspect of light string or power cord are showing
signs of abrasion or wear and tear, then discontinue use and properly dispose of.
∙ Regularly inspect light bulbs and replace only with 1W DC standard E27 base
LED bulbs if burned out or broken—after unplugging (disconnecting power source).
CAUTION:DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONNECT SOLAR STRINGS FROM END TO END.
THEY ARE TO BE USED ONE STRING PER SOLAR PANEL ONLY.
DISCONNECTING &STORING STRING LIGHTS: Warning
∙ Carefully remove product from its support including trees, branches, or bushes in
order to avoid any undue strain or stress on the product. Neatly wrap product and
store in cool dry place protected from sunlight.
∙ When ready to reuse: FOLLOW THE SAME STEPS AS FOR INSTALLATION
(SEE ABOVE).
∙ Do not use where water can pool or accumulate near or around extension cord,
bulbs, or either end of light string.
∙ Do not open bulbs—there are no serviceable parts inside.
∙ Install only using the recommended means of mounting.
∙ Do not operate product with missing bulbs or open sockets.
∙ Not designed for permanent installation—this is a seasonal use product.
∙ Replace missing bulbs promptly (before further use).
∙ Power output: maximum of 10 watts per light string.
∙ Do not place near electric or gas heater, candles, fireplace or any other heat or
combustion source.
∙ Insure that support object has sufficient structural capacity to support weight of
ight string and bulbs, even in high wind.
∙ Do not run cord or string through doors or windows, which upon closing could
abrade or damage the wire coatings.
∙ Do not use product for other than its intended use.
∙ Exercise good sense, common sense and caution in accord with your intended
use.
∙ Do not touch active bulbs as they are hot to the touch.
∙ Do not submerse in water or other liquid.
∙ Do not secure the wiring of this light string with sharp hooks, staples or nails.
∙ Do not use on trees unless living, fresh, hydrated, mechanically intact and secure
against breaking or tipping with no contact between bulbs or sockets and branches
or leaves.
∙ If not installed and used per instructions, may cause excess heat or harmful
interference.
INSTALLATION: Warning
∙ Disconnect power at the solar panel before installing or servicing this product.
∙ Tools needed for installation (not included) include safety glasses, ladder,
supporting hardware (based on your setting which may include eyebolts,
brackets, heavy duty uv resistant cable ties and/or guide wire), pliers, thin
gloves, screwdriver and scissors are commonly employed. Typical set up and
installation time is 20-30 minutes.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
∙ No lights come on: Check on/off switch to insure it is on. NOTE: it operates on
a dark sensing photo-eye, so you must cover the solar panel with a dark towel
(during the day) in order to test it out. Check connection point between light string
and solar panel. Check solar panel to insure not covered with snow, debris or
branches.
∙ Bulb(s) burned out: DISCONNECT FROM POWER and only after disconnected,
remove affected bulb by gently gripping socket and turning bulb counter-clockwise.
Replace lamps only with 1 watt, DC, S14 style E27 standard base, LED bulbs.
∙ Individual bulb(s) won't light: DISCONNECT FROM POWER, and only after
disconnecting from power, remove faulty bulb/s and check position of brass
contact point at bottom of socket, which should be raised to appx. 20 degree
angle to insure contact with bulb base. If necessary to raise the brass terminal,
use a small flat bladed screwdriver to do 50 GENTLY and not repeatedly as to
avoid breakage.
∙ NOTHING WORKING? Please consult a certified electrician.
SOLAR PANEL CONTAINS LITHIUM BATTERY. DO NOT DISPOSE OF IN REGULAR
TRASH. TAKE TO LOCAL BATTERY RECYCLING DROP LOCATION.

INSTALLING OR REPLACING LIGHT BULBS
WARNING-Risk of Electric Shock!
Disconnect power at connection near solar panel before replacing light bulbs. Never
replace or install bulbs when rainy or wet.
∙ Use only 1 watt maximum, DC, S14 style. E27 standard base, shatterproof LED
bulbs 2200M (color temperature).
∙ Do not overload: Each light string is rated for 10 watts, use only recommended
1W, DC, S14style, E27 standard base bulbs.
∙ Work from a secure stable platform.
∙ Work when weather is calm and dry (no rain, ice or hail).
∙ Do not remove bulbs or inspect product unless disconnected from power source.
∙ Do not open or break bulbs—there are no serviceable parts inside.
∙ Do not operate product with missing bulbs and open sockets.
∙ Removal: while wearing thin gloves (to protect hands) remove bulbs by lightly
gripping socket in one hand and rotating bulb counterclockwise with other hand.
∙ Replacement: while wearing gloves, insert new bulb, screw bulb into socket, in
clockwise motion, until snug and forming tight seal. Do not over tighten.
