Lower Swivel Replacement Instructions
Tools Needed: None
Parts Supplied: Bottom Swivel (FP013-1)
WARNING: THE METAL PARTS COULD HAVE SHARP EDGES. TO PREVENT
THE RISK OF INJURY, USE SAFETY GLOVES WHEN REMOVING OR REPLACING
PARTS. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN
PERSONAL INJURY! PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE
PERFORMING THIS PROCEDURE.
1. Remove the clip from the Lower Swivel.
2. Remove the two top sections of the pole by first lifting Tube #2 until the
Spring Button locks. Next, depress the Spring Button and extend Tube #2
completely out of Tube #3.
3. Remove the top section of the pole by holding in the Spring Button and
extending the section upwards and out of pole #2. Leave the Double Swivel
on Tube #1, being careful to not lose it.
4. Remove the tube #2 Clear Bushing by depressing the two clear tabs
while pulling the Clear Bushing up and out of the pole section. Note the
alignment of the Clear Bushing.
5. Slide the Lower Swivel off the top of the Tube.
6. Slide the new Lower Swivel over the top of the Tube. The flat side of the
Lower Swivel faces up, the curved side faces down.
7. Align and insert the Clear Bushing onto the top of tube #2.
8. Place the two top tubes back into tube #3. Lower them slowly until the
button pops out of the hole in tube #3. Be sure to line up the slot in the
bottom cap with the track on the inside of the tube.
9. Reinstall the clip removed in step 1.
10. Test the Flagpole for proper operation.
