2. Installation
Stand-alone Installation
To install the SmartCharger MINI as a stand-alone unit:
1. Place the device on a flat, solid surface indoors.
2. Connect the power cable to a power outlet.
Stacking 2 Devices
To save space, you can stack two SmartChargers MINI on top of each other:
1. Insert the four S-shaped plastic pins into the corresponding holes on the bottom of the top device.
2. Ensure the top charger is securely positioned to prevent it from sliding off.

3. Operation and Usage
The SmartCharger MINI is designed for easy and efficient charging of SmartMonitor devices.
1. No configuration is required for the charger.
2. To charge a SmartMonitor SHIP L or SITE L:
• Slide the SmartMonitor into one of the five slots until it makes solid contact with the USB
connector.
• Once properly connected, the charging symbol will appear on the SmartMonitor, and the LED will
switch to orange and blink.
• When the SmartMonitor is fully charged and cooled down for operation, the LED will switch to
green.
Attention: From SmartView release 6.4 onwards, the device can be configured to automatically start
monitoring once it is removed from the charger.

4. Safety Hints
• Only charge SmartMonitor SHIP L or SITE L devices.
• Do not attempt to charge single-use devices such as the SmartMonitor SHIP M or SHIP S, as they
are not equipped with rechargeable batteries.
• Do not use the SmartCharger MINI to charge or supply power to any third-party devices, including
phones or computers.

5. Troubleshooting
If the SmartMonitor does not start charging when inserted:
1. Ensure the USB connector is fully connected.
2. Verify that the AC supply is connected and has power.
3. Confirm that you are using the correct SmartMonitor type (SHIP L or SITE L).
4. Check that the SmartMonitor is not damaged.

6. Proper Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable and do not belong in household waste. At the end of its lifetime,
dispose of the product in accordance with the regulation of your country or return it to Berlinger
according Berlinger RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process.
