Broan-NuTone BES8 Roomside Series Humidity Sensing Bathroom Exhaust Fan Installation Guide

Broan-NuTone BES8 is a humidity-sensing bathroom exhaust fan. It automatically turns on when the humidity in the room reaches a preset level, and then turns off after a set amount of time. The sensor can be manually cycled on/off/on to operate the fan immediately. This device can be used above a tub or shower if connected to a GFCI-protected branch circuit (ceiling installation only).

Turn off power to the fan at the electrical panel. Use a small screwdriver to rotate the %HUMIDITY control to your desired level. If the fan is not responding to humidity changes, adjust towards 50%. If responding too often, adjust towards 100%. Turn power back on. Repeat if needed.

Disconnect power at the electrical service panel. Use a small screwdriver to carefully rotate the MINUTES control to increase or decrease the time. Turn power back on. Repeat steps if necessary.

Remove the grille and grille trim. Clean the sensor with a dry dustcloth, clean toothbrush, or vacuum with a dust brush attachment. Don't use abrasive cloths, steel wool, scouring powders, cleaning sprays, solvents, or water on or near the sensor.
