Erica Synths Hexinverter Mutant Rimshot Owner's Manual

Erica Synths Hexinverter Mutant Rimshot is a Eurorack module that generates classic rimshot and clave sounds. It features three oscillator modes for different sonic textures and three filter modes for shaping the sound. It's designed for integration into modular systems, with controls and CV inputs for shaping the sound through modulation and external signal routing. The Mutant Rimshot allows you to create dynamic and expressive percussive sounds with various sonic possibilities.

Frequently asked questions

The Mutant Rimshot offers three oscillator modes: Rimshot HI for classic rimshot sounds, Rimshot LO for a lower pitch range, and CLV (Clave) mode for a brighter, higher percussive sound. You can select between original and extended pitch modes using a switch on the back of the module. Original mode provides classic rimshot sounds, while extended mode offers a wider pitch range.

The Mutant Rimshot offers three filter modes: lowpass, highpass, and bandpass. You can use the CUTOFF knob and the CV input to adjust the filter cutoff frequency. The Resonance knob allows you to control the resonance of the filter, which can create a variety of percussive sounds. The VCF MOD attenuverter allows you to modulate the filter cutoff using the MOD DECAY envelope or the internal VCO.

The Mutant Rimshot has CV inputs for various parameters, including pitch, filter cutoff, and accent. You can use these inputs to modulate the sound dynamically with external sources such as LFOs, sequencers, or other modular devices.
