Always ensure that the appliance is switched off and not connected to the mains when you open the container housing. Never use the appliance without the dust filter and correctly fitted container housing. Preparation Depending on the work you want to carry out, you can use the appliance without the accessories or attach the desired accessories to the appliance. For example, you can attach the desired suction nozzle to the suction aperture 1 and use it with the 2 in 1 handheld vacuum cleaner. Note: If you want to use the appliance with the brush attachment 11 , you must first insert the connecting piece 10 into the suction aperture and then attach the brush attachment 11 there (also see “Overview of suction nozzles” section). A handle extension 14 is also included, which you can attach to the appliance by inserting it into the insert opening 8 provided for this purpose until you hear and feel it click into place and it is firmly attached to the base unit. The handle extension 14 allows you to reach hard-to-reach places easily and conveniently. Only work with the appliance and attached handle extension (and, if necessary, additionally attached suction nozzle) at low heights (e.g. vacuuming upholstered furniture). With the handle extension attached, the appliance should not be used to vacuum “overhead”. Note: A hook is attached to both the handheld vacuum cleaner and the handle extension 14 . If the handle extension 14 is connected to the base unit, you can use the two hooks as a cord storage. The hook on the handle extension 14 is designed to be rotatable for easy removal of the coiled cable. 13 Operation To remove the handle extension 14 from the appliance again (when the cable is not wound up), press the release slider 9 down towards the mains lead and pull the handle extension 14 out of the insert opening 8 . Overview suction nozzles Crevice nozzle 12 The crevice nozzle 12 is most suitable for vacuuming folds in fabric, joints, corners or alcoves. • To use the nozzle, insert the rectangular end of the nozzle firmly into the suction aperture 1 . • To remove the nozzle again, pull it off the suction aperture. Brush attachment 11 The brush attachment is suitable for gentle cleaning of picture frames/door frames, books, privacy screens, lampshades, etc. Note: If you want to use the appliance with the brush attachment 11 , you must first insert the connecting piece 10 into the suction aperture and then attach the brush attachment 11 there. 14 Operation • To use the brush attachment 11 , first insert the connecting piece 10 with the rectangular end provided firmly into the suction aperture 1 . • Now place the brush attachment 11 firmly onto the round end of the connecting piece 10 . The bristle section of the brush attachment can be rotated and can therefore be optimally adapted to the respective requirements or your needs during use. Auxiliary/surface nozzle 13 The auxiliary/surface nozzle 13 enables you to quickly clean smaller surfaces, such as seating areas, upholstered furniture or shelves, etc. • To use the nozzle, insert the rectangular end of the nozzle firmly into the suction aperture 1 . Note: Together with the handle extension 14 , the nozzle is also a suitable aid for cleaning smaller surfaces on the floor. This allows you to conveniently vacuum doormats or rugs and also clean partially soiled areas of the floor (e.g. crumbs under the dining table) quickly and easily. However, the appliance is not a replacement for a conventional upright vacuum cleaner for cleaning the entire household and is therefore not an appliance within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 666/2013. • To remove the nozzle again, pull it off the suction aperture. Keep it at an adequate distance from walls or other objects. • Firstly, if necessary, attach the required accessories to the appliance as described above. • Attach the appliance to a correctly installed electrical socket. • Then switch the appliance on using the On/Off switch 5 . • Push and pull the suction aperture 1 (or the nozzle attached to it) over the surface to be cleaned and, if necessary, into the corners. The appliance must be switched off after each use and before the attachment or removal of accessories and separated from the mains by removing the mains plug from the electrical socket. Allow the appliance to cool to room temperature before cleaning and/or putting it away. • Switch the appliance off by pressing the On/Off switch 5 . • Remove the mains plug from the electrical socket.
