This document does not provide information on monitor configuration or setup. Dismantle VersaView 6300M-240Ex VESA Monitors for Recycling and Recovery Dismantle Instructions Required Tools These tools can be used to dismantle the monitor: • #2 Phillips torque screwdriver • Torx screwdriver • Screwdriver • 5 mm HEX driver for VGA and DVI connector • Wire cutter • Safety glasses Dismantle Procedure To dismantle the VersaView 6300M-240Ex VESA monitor, perform the following steps: 1. Remove the ten M3x6 Torx screws on the back panel of the VESA monitor. 2. 2 Lift and remove the back panel from the VESA monitor. The back panel and VESA monitor remain connected by two cables. 3. Remove the three screws on the VESA monitor that secure the cables and a metal plate. 4. Cut the cable tie. 5. Remove the metal plate and disconnect the two cables. The back panel is now disconnected from the VESA monitor. Remove the nine M3x6 Torx screws that secure the metal riser. 7. Remove the metal riser. 8. Remove the three M3x6 Torx screws and two hexagonal nuts of the DVI-D port that secure the connector crossbar to the motherboard. 9. Remove the connector crossbar. 10. Remove the eight M3x6 Torx screws that secure the two metal brackets. 11. Remove both metal brackets. 12. Remove the eight M3x4 screws that secure the motherboard and power board. 13. Remove both boards. Rockwell Automation Publication 6300M-IN003B-EN-P - March 2022 3 14. Remove the 13 Torx M3x4 screws of the display holder frame. 15. Remove the display holder frame. WARNING: Do not try to separate the touch screen from the LCD display; they are glued together. Trying to separate them can break the glass and cause personal injury. 16. With a screwdriver, pry the bezel away from the LCD display. LCD Display and Bezel Shown Separated Dispose or recycle the separated parts as is appropriate for your location.
