Frequently asked questions

To adjust the reset overtravel angles, you need to remove the contact block and access the adjusting nut. The adjusting nut is a 6.35 mm hexagon-shaped piece that extends from the head into the switch enclosure. To make the adjusting nut more accessible, rotate the operating shaft of the head in a clockwise direction. You can adjust the angles by turning the adjusting nut about 1/4 turn. If angle A is smaller, turn the adjusting nut clockwise. If angle B is smaller, turn the adjusting nut counterclockwise.

To replace the operating head, you must first remove the contact block. Then, remove the four screws that secure the operating head to the switch enclosure. Lift the operating head from the enclosure, and remove the actuator slide from the adjusting nut. Install the actuator slide on the replacement operating head, then position the replacement operating head over the switch enclosure. Align the diaphragm seal with the seat in the switch enclosure and replace the four mounting screws.

To replace the contact block, you need to remove the retaining bracket that holds the contact block into the enclosure. Lift out the contact block and insert the replacement contact block, making sure the actuator slide engages the opening in the back of the contact block. Secure the contact block in place with the retaining bracket and screw.
