Frequently asked questions

The 1769-IF16V module supports analog voltage inputs, with a range of ±10V DC. This module does not support loop-powered sensors.

This module is intended to be mounted to a well-grounded surface, such as a metal panel. Additional grounding connections are not required unless the mounting surface cannot be grounded. You can find more detailed information on grounding in the Industrial Automation Wiring and Grounding Guidelines publication 1770-4.1.

For optimal accuracy, use shielded wire, such as Belden 8761, and keep cable length as short as possible. Additionally, the drain wire and shield junction should be connected to earth ground via a panel or DIN rail mounting screw at the analog I/O module end. Refer to the manual for more detailed guidelines.
