AV-70 Aviation Light
Thank you for purchasing this product. This guide will
provide you with a brief summary of the steps involved in
deploying the AV-70
This Quick Start Guide provides a summary of installation steps for the AV-70 Solar Aviation Light. A thorough review
of the Installation and Service Manual is recommended prior to installation.
Note: The AV-70 can be operated as a solar or AC powered airfield light. Lights can be operated without cabling,
using solar power. Cables can be used for sustained operations (greater than 20 hours), in conditions of low sunlight
and/or low temperature.
Before installation, ensure that applicable power systems have been installed if required by your specific ligthing
system installation
If required, please consult the AvMeshTM RF Communications Manual and Quick Start Guide to program light groups.
What Installation Parts will you need?

Step 1: Remove Bung
Step 3: Activate Light
Using a bung tool, remove the bung from the bottom
of the light base.
Set internal toggle switch to ON. Replace bung in light
base. Alternatively flick the external switch to 'ON' if
fitted
Note: There is a sealed vent on base which allows air
transfer without moisture intake. Do not disturb.
Step 2: Charge the battery
Note: Power and range settings are factory-set
by Avlite to comply with regulatory or customer
requirements.
New lights should be left in the sun for several days
to ensure the battery is charged before placing in
service.

Step 4: Install AV-70 Fixtures
The AV-70 is able to be installed on any appropriately
reinforced mounting point with a 200 PCD. Alternatively,
the fixture can be installed on the Avlite supplied Mounting
Tile, Frangible Stake Mount or Frangible Concrete Mount.

Step 5: For RF enables fixtures: Use RF
Controller to test the system
