Frequently asked questions

This kit is designed for the coupling of 1-10mg of protein in 1ml of buffer.

Use Optimizer Buffer™. Avoid buffers containing primary amines, such as Tris and Glycine.

The kit includes a HABA/avidin-based assay to estimate the molar ratio of biotin conjugated to the protein. See the manual for detailed instructions.

The molecular weight of HOOK™ Sulfo-NHS-LC-Biotin is 556.59.

While the kit can be adapted, G-Biosciences recommends their HOOK Cell Surface Protein Isolation kit for optimal results in cell surface protein labeling.
