Installation
This unit is intended for use in a temperature-controlled environment of less than 75°F and 60% relative humidity.
Please read this manual thoroughly prior to equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
Important!!! Please Read Before Installation
•
If the unit has recently been transported on its side, please let the unit stand upright for a minimum of 24
hours before plugging it in.
•
Make sure the unit has reached the desired temperature before loading the unit with products. This unit is
meant for keeping cold products cold, not chilling warm products.
•
Make sure that there is proper ventilation around the unit in the area where it will operate.
•
Make sure all accessories are installed (i.e., shelves, shelf clips, casters) before plugging the unit in.
•
Do not attempt to remove or repair any component of the unit. Consult an authorized service technician
for servicing/repair.
•
Do not hang on doors or stand inside the unit, do not sit or stand on top of this unit.
•
Please read through the manual in its entirety.
•
This unit is designed to perform in a temperature-controlled environment at 60% relative humidity.
•
The unit should be located away from doors, air ducts, and fans that could disrupt airflow and negatively
impact performance.
Cabinet Location Guidelines
•
Install the unit on a strong and leveled surface.
•
Level the unit by adjusting the screws located on the bottom of the unit.
•
If the surface is uneven, the unit may be noisy.
•
The unit may malfunction if the surface is uneven.
• Install the unit in an indoor, well-ventilated area.
•

Unit performs more efficiently in a well-ventilated area.
•
For best performance, please maintain clearance of 4” on the back of the unit.
•
Do not use outdoors. For indoor use only.
•
Avoid direct sunlight.
Avoid installation in a high humidity and/or dusty area.
•
Humidity above 60% can cause the unit to rust, collect condensation, and may decrease efficiency.
•
Dust collected on the condenser coil will cause the unit to malfunction.
Select a location away from heat and moisture-generating equipment.
•
Ambient temperatures above 75 degrees Fahrenheit may cause the compressor to malfunction.
•
For optimal performance, this unit should not be used in environments with ambient temperatures
exceeding 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
•
The unit should not be placed in areas with an ambient temperature over 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
•
Equipment malfunctions due to ambient temperatures above 90 degrees Fahrenheit could void
the warranty.
•
Do not install this unit inside a closet or alcove.

Electrical
•
Please ensure that the required voltage of the compressor is being supplied at all times. Low or high voltage
can detrimentally affect the refrigeration unit. If the voltage is unstable, please choose a suitable automatic
voltage regulator.
•
All units should be plugged into a grounded and properly sized electrical outlet with appropriate overcurrent
protection. Please refer to the electrical requirements on the nameplate.
•
Please make sure that your unit has its own dedicated outlet.
•
Do not use an extension cord.
•
To avoid shock and fire hazards, do not plug in or unplug the unit with wet hands.
•
After unplugging the unit, wait at least 10 minutes before plugging it back in. Failure to do so could cause damage
to the compressor.
•
If power is cut off, wait at least 10 minutes before turning on again to avoid damage to the compressor
•
In the event of damage to the electric wires or plug, please contact the after-sales service. Do not attempt to
repair it yourself.
Temperature Control
There are 3 LED blue lights: °F, °C and lock. When the unit is plugged in, all lights will be on for 1 second.
There are 3 buttons: temperature setting °F/°C switch and lock.
Temperature Setting:
•
The factory default is -20°F.
•
Press the temperature setting key to set or adjust the temperature. Temperature can be set between 0°F to -49°F.
Switching Between °C And °F:
•
To switch between °C and °F, press the °C/°F key and the corresponding indicator light will illuminate

Lock or Unlock Control Panel
•
The control panel default mode is unlocked. Press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds to lock or unlock the
control panel manually.
Defrosting the Unit
•
To ensure optimal performance, unit should be defrosted when the thickness of the ice on the cabinet wall
reaches ¼".
•
Remove all product from the unit.
•
Unplug the unit and use a drainage tube to release the water from the melted ice. The drainage tube will need to be
placed in a drain or pump.
•
Once all ice is melted and water is drained, the manual defrost is complete.
•
Wipe down the inside of the cabinet with a cloth, and then plug the unit back in and allow it to get back to optimal
serving temperature before inserting product.
CAUTION:
Setting the temperature control to the coldest setting may cause the evaporator coil to freeze and ice up.
This will eventually result in a warmer cabinet temperature.
Regular Maintenance
Care and Cleaning
The freezer should be cleaned periodically; generally clean it every 30-45 days. Unplug before cleaning, and use a
soft cloth with a solution of warm water and mild soap to scrub inside and outside of the cabinet. Do not use acids,
chemical thinner, gasoline, or benzene for cleaning any part of the chest freezer. Dry it with a soft cloth. Never use
water to rinse the freezer.
Cleaning the Condenser Coil
1.
Disconnect the electrical power from the unit.
2. Remove the cover and base cover with a screwdriver.
3. Using a soft brush and/or vacuum, remove the dirt, lint, etc. from the finned condenser coil in a vertical direction.
4. Clean the condenser with a commercial condenser coil cleaner, available from any kitchen equipment retailer.
Ex. Noble Chemical Tech Line.
5. After cleaning, straighten any bent condenser fins with a fin comb.
6. When finished, be sure to reinstall the cover and base cover.
7.
Reconnect the electrical power to the unit.

Safety / Warning
Please pay close attention to the safety notices in this section.
Disregarding these notices may lead to serious injury and/or damage to the unit.
Attention
• To minimize shock and fire hazards, be sure not to overload outlet. Please designate one outlet for your unit.
• Do not use extension cords.
• Do not put your hands under the unit while it is being moved.
• When the unit is not in use for a long period of time, please unplug the unit from the outlet.
• After unplugging the unit, wait at least 10 minutes before plugging it back in. Failure to do so could cause damage to
the compressor.
Unplug Cord
• To minimize shock and fire hazards, please do not plug or unplug the cord with wet hands.
• During maintenance and cleaning, please unplug the unit.
Proper Grounding Required
• To minimize shock and fire hazards, make sure that the unit is properly grounded.
Warning
• Do not attempt to remove or repair any component unless instructed by factory.
• Make sure that the unit is not resting on or against the electrical cord and plug.
• To minimize personal injury, do not hang on the door.
• Do not store any flammable and explosive gas or liquids inside the unit.
• Do not attempt to alter or tamper with the electrical cord.

Troubleshooting
Compressor Not Running
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.
Power cord unplugged.
Thermostat set too warm.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Plug in power cord.
Set thermostat to a higher setting.
Condensing Units Run For Long Periods of Time
Excessive amount of warm product placed in cabinet.
Prolonged door opening or door ajar.
Allow adequate time for product to cool down.
Ensure door is closed when not in use. Avoid opening door for long
periods of time.
Cabinet Temperature is too Warm
Thermostat set too warm.
Airflow blocked.
Excessive amount of warm product placed in cabinet.
Fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped.
Set thermostat to higher setting.
Re-arrange product to allow for proper air flow.
Make sure there is at least four inches of clearance
from evaporator.
Allow adequate time for product to cool down.
Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Unit is Noisy
Loud noise is heard.
Sounds like water running.
Be sure there is enough space between chest freezer and the wall.
Make sure unit is installed on a level surface.
No attention required. It is the sound of refrigerant (liquid for cooling
the freezer).
Condensation
Condensation is on the exterior walls of the unit.
Condensation may build up on the cabinet or the door when humidity
is high.
Unit is Leaking Water
High relative humidity.
Drainage tube is clogged.
Temperature controller failed.
This freezer is designed to perform in temperature-controlled
environments up to 75˚F and 60% relative humidity.
Verify the drainage tube is clear and unobstructed.
Contact a licened service technician.
