Introduction

The Component + Digital Audio to HDMI Adapter is a unique device that allows older analog devices to be integrated seamlessly into the modern home theater.

This adapter connects component video home theater devices to HDMI compliant digital monitors. This adapter also takes digital audio and encodes it onto the HDMI signal for the full HDMI video and audio effect. With the Component + Digital Audio to HDMI Adapter legacy home theater devices can be easily connected any

HDMI display for the full digital video and audio experience.

How It Works

Simply connect the supplied Component cable to the input side of the Component + Digital Audio to HDMI Adapter. Then connect the TOSLINK digital audio cables to the audio input of the Component + Digital Audio to HDMI Adapter.

Then connect the HDMI display or projector to the HDMI output of the Component Audio to HDMI Adapter. The adapter generates the compatible analog to digital conversion signals for video as well encoding the audio onto the HDMI to make the connection between the analog inputs and the digital output work.

CONNECTING AND OPERATING THE COMPONENT TO HDMI ADAPTER

How to Connect the Component Audio to HDMI Adapter

1- Connect your HDMI compliant monitor to the HDMI female connector at the

output side of the Component Audio to HDMI Adapter.

2- Connect the Component cable between Component Audio to HDMI Adapter and the

Component output of your device.

3- Connect the TOSlink Audio Cable between the TOSLINK audio input on the

Component Audio to HDMI Adapter and the TOSLINK audio output of your device.

4- Connect the 5V power supply.

WARRANTY

Gefen warrants the equipment it manufactures to be free from defects in material and workmanship.

If equipment fails because of such defects and Gefen is notifi ed within two (2) years from the date of shipment, Gefen will, at its option, repair or replace the equipment, provided that the equipment has not been subjected to mechanical, electrical, or other abuse or modifi cations. Equipment that fails under conditions other than those covered will be repaired at the current price of parts and labor in effect at the time of repair. Such repairs are warranted for ninety (90) days from the day of reshipment to the Buyer.

This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including without limitation, any implied warranty or merchantability or fi tness for any particular purpose, all of which are expressly disclaimed.

1. Proof of sale may be required in order to claim warranty.

2. Customers outside the US are responsible for shipping charges to and from

Gefen.

3. Copper cables are limited to a 30 day warranty and cables must be in their original condition.
