Installation instruction for mounting General Electric type TDA flange mounted variable
depth operating mechanisms in Hoffman Bulletin D6 enclosures designed for this
equipment. These are for QMR / QMW disconnect switches and circuit breakers listed in
Table 1.

The functions, fits, and clearances of the installation described hereon are calculated
from information supplied by the manufacturers of the equipment to be installed. Be
certain to check the function, fits, and clearances of all equipment both before and
after installation to assure that it operates properly and safely and meets all applicable
codes, standards, and regulations.
In the event the completed installation does not function properly or fails to meet any
such codes, standards, or regulations, do not attempt to make alterations or operate the

STEP 1: Drill and tap holes in panel as shown in figure 1. Four (4) holes are required for operating mechanisms
(see table 1). Two (2) additional holes are required for fusible 200 AMP. switches (see table 2).
STEP 2: Install GE flange handle TDA1 or TDA2 in holes provided on enclosure flange. Follow GE instructions,
except omit interlock bracket (GE Item 8) on Hoffman enclosures. Install interlock hook (GE Item 7); see figure 2
and adjust per GE instructions.
STEP 3: Install operating mechanism to panel following GE instructions.
STEP 4: Install drive rod and disconnect switch or circuit breaker per GE instructions.
