See Sounding Board Harmony Listening Check
HarmonyTM Listening Check The Harmony Listening Check is a diagnostic tool, designed to enable parents, carers and professionals to perform a subjective listening test of the sound processor and accessories. It is now included in all paediatric Harmony Processor Kits, but can be purchased separately. The Listening Check enables you to listen to: • The processor microphone • The T-Mic microphone • The input from an FM receiver (using the iConnect Adaptor) • Audio devices input (using the Direct Connect and Earhook and Cable) It is powered by one AA battery, therefore is portable for home and school. Earhook connection including for iConnect Harmony / Auria processor connection Carry Case Tri-colour LED Battery Compartment Button to eject processor On/Off Volume Switch Volume Level (Off, Normal, High) Headphone Socket Earhook Connection Cover How to use: 1. Make sure a battery is inserted into the Listening Check. 2. Switch on the Listening check. 3. LED colour: GREEN – Normal Operation, ORANGE – Low Battery, RED – Replace Battery. 4. Insert the headphones into the headphone socket. To avoid any unpleasant sounds, remove headphones from ears before attaching or detaching any sound processor or earhook or when changing off/volume settings. 5. Turn off after use. 6. Store in the case provided to protect from dust and moisture. 7. Always attach the Auxiliary Post Cover (Earhook Connection Cover) when the Earhook Connection is not in use. To listen to the sound processor internal microphone on the Harmony or Auria: 1. Find an empty program slot on the processor. On the Harmony, an empty slot is identified by a constant green LED on the processor. Remove the T-Mic or earhook from the processor. 2. Insert the processor into the Processor Connection Slot as shown in the diagram below: 3. Listen to microphone through connected headphones. If more volume is required, remove headphones and using the volume switch increase to high. 4. Press the Eject button to remove the processor. To listen to the T-Mic / iConnect with FM receiver / Direct Connect earhook with cable: 1. Remove the earhook from the processor. 2. Place the earhook onto the Earhook Connection as shown in the diagram below: • An FM receiver and transmitter are required to properly check the iConnet Adapter earhook. • A Direct Connect Cable and input source (e.g. MP3 Player) are required to properly check the Direct Connect earhook. Turn down the volume on the input source prior to connection. Do not connect an AC-powered input source without an appropriate patch cable. 3. Listen to the earhook using connected headphones. If more volume is required, remove the headphones and using the volume switch increase to high. 4. Whilst listening it is possible to alter the volume of the input source and FM transmitter to get a subjective comfortable mixing ratio. 5. To remove the earhook, turn the earhook 90° to the right and remove.
