PURPOSE OF ELECTRIC TILT TABLE
The purpose of the Electric Tilt Table is to provide a safe and comfortable method of raising, lowering and positioning
a patient for ease of treatment.
SET UP
Uncrate the table and check to ensure that the parts listed under installation of glide and installation of casters are
included in your shipment. Inspect the power cord, plug, controls, frame and upholstery for damage.
Set up the table in a location that allows ample clearance around, above, and below the table, and has access to
the needed power supply. The unit is shipped with a 3-pole male hospital grade 15 amp plug. To maintain adequate
grounding, the unit must be plugged into a 3-pole receptacle (preferably a hospital grade) that is correctly wired to
the building power system. Follow the detailed installation instructions below.
Installation of the Casters

OPERATION
The pneumatic hand control (Illustration 4) activates the motor gear drive assembly to raise or lower the table from
the vertical position to the horizontal position, or vice versa. Angle of travel is 90 degrees and the table may be
positioned at any angle between 0 and 90 degrees.
1. Position table to full upright position.
2. Assist individual to the Tilt Table. Insure individual’s back is centered laterally on table top.
3. Center individual’s feet on the footboard with heels flush against the table top.
4. Secure individual to the table using straps provided. Verify straps are secure.
5. Adjust Tilt Table to desired position using Hand Control (See Illustration 4). Angle of tilt is shown by dial indicator
(see illustration 5) located on underside of table. Indicator range is 0 to 90 degrees.
CAUTION:
1. Always inform patient of the intended procedure prior to beginning.
2. Never leave patient unattended.

CLEANING
The Electric Tilt Table is covered with naughahyde vinyl covering.
CAUTION
Unplug the unit before attempting any cleaning or disinfecting. Ensure that your hands are dry and
that the power cord and plug assembly have had ample time to dry before plugging the unit back into
the wall outlet.
Infectious Waste
Infectious waste should be cleaned using universal precautions. After donning the appropriate protective wear,
clean the waste according to your facility’s requirements for cleaning infectious waste before you begin.
Disinfection can be done using products containing sodium hypochlorite (common household bleach) at full strength
or glutaraldehyde. Sodium hypochlorite diluted 1:10 or rubbing alcohol can also be used but may be less effective.*
Routine Cleaning
Clean the table according to your facility’s policy for cleaning between patients. Determine if the cleaning procedures
and chemicals used below meet your facility’s requirements before cleaning the table.
For light soiling, a solution of 10% household liquid dish soap with warm water applied with a soft damp cloth can
be used. The table should be rinsed and allowed to air dry. For heavy soiling, dampen soft white cloth with lighter
fluid (napha) and rub gently. Rinse with water and a damp cloth and allow to air dry. For more difficult stains, use
a solution of 10% household bleach and 90% water. Rub gently and then rinse with a water dampened cloth to
remove bleach. Allow to air dry. Full strength bleach and rubbing alcohol can be used if necessary.*
*When using strong cleaning agents such as rubbing alcohol or bleach, it is advisable to first test on an inconspicuous
area. Other cleaning agents may contain harsh or unknown solvents and are subject to formula changes by the
product manufacturer without notice. If using another cleaning agent, test before using. With all cleaning, use a
soft white cloth and avoid use of paper towels.
Periodic Care
Wipe the table with a damp cloth or a mild soap and water. To restore luster, a light coat of spray furniture polish
can be applied. Allow the spray to sit for 30 seconds and follow with a light buffing using a clean white cloth.
NOTE: Be careful with patient transfers immediately following this procedure as the surface may be more slippery
than normal.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
3 Joints use oil impregnated bronze bushings and should never need to be lubricated.
3 Frequently inspect the power cord and plug for frayed wires and or damaged insulation.
TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
Should the table fail to operate:
1. Check to ensure that the wall outlet is working.
2. Check to ensure that the AC plug is inserted fully.
3. Check to ensure that the pneumatic switch assemblies are connected correctly. If the line to the hand control
is pinched, the control will not work properly.
4. The motor is protected by thermal overload device. Should this safety device trip or engage, let the motor cool
down for 15 minutes before operating the table.
Upper and Lower Limit Switches
The upper and lower switches are located inside the Motor Gear Box assembly. They are preset at the factory and
should NOT be adjusted. Any adjusting or tampering of the Limit Switches will void the warranty and could cause
personal injury and/or damage to the table.
WARRANTY
Hausmann Electric Tilt Tables are guaranteed to be free from defect in material or workmanship under normal use
and service for a period of three years from date of purchase. The above guarantee is null and void if unauthorized
repair and/or modification is performed on the unit.

MOTOR GEARBOX REPLACEMENT
NOTE:
3 These procedures require two service personnel.
3 Lock all casters, if the table is so equipped, before proceeding. If the table can be safely raised and lowered
by the Motor Gearbox Assembly, follow Procedure I. If the motor Gearbox Assembly is inoperable, follow
Procedure II.
Procedure I
1. Position the table so that the safety arm may be lowered into the latched position. Now carefully raise or
lower the table such that tension is directed against the safety arm and away from the gearbox arm.
2. Ensure that the table is secured and the gearbox arm is not under any tension from the patient platform.
3. Unplug the table from the power source. You are now ready to remove the motor gearbox assembly using
proper servicing techniques.
4. To install the motor gearbox, reverse the procedure.
Procedure II
1. Unplug the table from the power source.
2. Place screw type floor jacks under the patient platform, one under the head and one under the foot. Adjust
the floor jacks such that tension is directed against the floor jacks and away from the gearbox arm.
3. Ensure that the table and floor jacks are secures and the gearbox arm is not under any strain from the patient
platform.
4. You are now ready to remove the motor gearbox assembly using proper servicing techniques.
5. To install the motor gearbox, reverse the procedure.
Note: You may have to extend the gearbox arm with the power on to align the hole in the arm in the mounting
bracket on the patient platform.
