Brief Introduction The IP Desktop USB PTZ Controller is a professional quality PTZ Joystick controller engineered to provide supported PC application with precision X,Y and Z axes positioning controls. Featuring a three axis Hall effect joystick, twelve programmable buttons and plug‐and‐play USB connectivity, the IP Desktop USB is ideally suited for network surveillance applications as well as audio/video editing and production. IBM compatible PC running Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP One available USB port USB compatible software that recognizes joystick inputs via DirectX Microsoft Directx7.0a or later Hardware Installation 1. With computer fully booted up to Windows desktop, plug the IP Desktop USB into and available USB port on your computer 2. A new hardware detection window should appear 3. You can test the IP Desktop in Windows’ Game Controllers utility. Access *Game Controllers by clicking Start, Control Panel, and Game Controllers. 4. Once in Game Controllers, click Properties to access Windows’ Controller Test Screen. Click the IP Desktop’s twelve buttons and move all three axes to confirm the controller is functioning properly. 5. After testing the IP Desktop, calibrate the controller by clicking the settings tab which is also located on Windows’ Controller Test Screen, follow the on‐screen instructions. *Game Controllers may be listed as Gaming Options, depending on which version of Microsoft Windows and DirectX are installed. Unplug the IP Desktop from the computer Double click the IP Desktop Software Zip File Extract or Unzip the IP Desktop Software folder Double click the IP Joystick setup icon Follow the on screen instructions Joystick Calibration 1. After the IP Desktop Software has been installed, the IP Desktop joystick and Mouse functions should be tested and calibrated. 2. Access the Game Controllers Test Screen as described in Step 3 of the Hardware installation 3. Once in Game Controllers, click on Properties to access the IP Desktop Test Screen. Click the IP Desktop’s twelve buttons individually and move all three axes to confirm that the controller is functioning properly. 4. After testing the IP Desktop, calibrate the controller by clicking the Calibrate button which is also located on the IP Desktop screen.
