Software Upgrade
Installation manual
• Download the latest version of software, found on the
website http://hp.danfoss.net under products. Save this file
on your computer.
• Download the latest version of Java, www.java.com.
• Connect your PC to the WM HPC by using a crossover
network cable. Connect the network cable to the port
marked Ethernet on the WM HPC. If your PC and WM HPC is
properly connected the yellow diode named ”Link” on the
WM HPC will lit up.

From the operator panel on
the heat pump
• Switch operating mode to standby.
• Navigate in the menu until you find System settings.
• Under System Settings you can find Software Upgrade.
Activate this function.
WM HPC is now ready to be updated!
But you need to change some settings in your PC.

Network settings in your PC
• Open the control panel and double click on ”Network Connections”
• Changes in settings for your normal internet connection needs to
be done. This is most commonly your ”Local Area Connection”
• Right click on ”Local Area Connection” and select ”Properties”
• Select TCP/IP and click on ”Properties”
• Choose the following alternative: ”Use the following IP address”
and use IP address 10.0.48.10 and the subnet mask
255.255.255.0
• Open the software update program you recently downloaded

Connection” and choose
”Properties”.

•Select the alternative ”Use the
following IP address”
•Use IP address: 10.0.48.10
•Use Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

•Click on Start Upgrade
•Installation process will
start

Done!
When the installation
process has completed the
field to the right will turn
green, and the WM HPC will
restart once more. Wait until
the upgrade is ready. The
upgrade can take about 15
minutes. If something should
go wrong the field will turn
red.
After the software upgrade,
switch the heat pump back
to operating mode to AUTO,
and reset your network
settings on your PC back to
normal.
