CHANGES
General
We have addressed the following issues.
 The application unexpectedly removed checks from check summary memo transactions when they
were edited in the Actions > Enter Transactions screen. (Accounting CS Ideas Community, Idea 970)
 The application used an incorrect folder date in the FileCabinet CS® folder tree when bank account
reconciliation reports were printed from the File > Print Reports screen. (Accounting CS Ideas
Community, Idea 1041)
 The application did not allow unused custom fields to be deleted from any of the Setup > Custom
Fields screens.
Accounting
Accounts receivable
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to close unexpectedly when the Actions >
Manage Customer Payments screen was opened if it contained a transaction for a customer whose
status had been changed to inactive.

We have addressed an issue that, in certain circumstances, caused the application to close unexpectedly
when engagement binders were printed to a file or to FileCabinet CS.
Reports
We have updated the following payroll reports.
 Check List. The report now includes zero-amount net pay checks and voided checks when filtered in
with live checks, whether the Direct Deposit Detail checkbox is marked or cleared in the Sections to
Include section of the report options. (Accounting CS Ideas Community, Idea 559)
 Deduction Register. We have added the Remaining Balance Details checkbox to the Sections to
Include section of the report options to enable you to include the remaining balance information for
deduction items that use a perpetual limit. In addition, you can now filter by bank account using the
Bank Account tab in the Filtering and Sorting section of the report options. (Accounting CS Ideas
Community, Idea 557)
 Wage Register. The report now includes the ability to filter by bank account using the Bank Account
tab in the Filtering and Sorting section of the report options.
Note: If your firm has modified the predefined version of a report, an updated version will not overwrite
your existing report. If this is the case, you will need to make the necessary changes to your customized
report manually or you will need to restore the latest predefined version using the Report Designer. To do
the latter, select the report from the Reports list pane in the Report Designer and then choose File >
Restore Default.
Payroll compliance


Connecticut. We have addressed an issue that prevented the application from including wages for
employees working outside of Connecticut in the amount on line 1 of Form CT-941.
Florida. We have added an e-File Critical Diagnostic that prevents you from filing Form RT-6 using
the Electronic with Payment option if you have chosen to use an installment payment in the quarter
being filed.
Payroll form and filing information
The Payroll Form and Filing Information portlet on the Home or Firm dashboard provides the following
information: form approval status, form availability, available filing methods, form due dates, form filing
addresses, tax payment information (for all tax types), agency contact information, new hire reporting
information, payroll resources, and tax calendar (to view and print tax deposit due dates and form due
dates for all federal, state, and certain local tax agents). Click the applicable jurisdiction on the map to
display the federal, state, and local tax form information within the tabbed pages in the lower section of
the portlet. For information on working with portlets, enter Dashboard portlet: Payroll Form & Filing
Information in the search field on the application toolbar.
Important! Click here to open a detailed list of v.2014.0.4 additions or updates for new hire files, tax
agents, payroll tax forms, and payroll tax tables.
Accounting CS Payroll, for live payroll processing
In addition to the changes made for general payroll features listed above for after-the-fact payroll
processing, we have made the following changes for the live payroll processing features specific to
Accounting CS Payroll.


We have made performance improvements for the calculation and creation of payroll checks that
include custom deductions with several tax exemptions.
We have made the following changes to the Payroll Tracking portlet in the Firm Dashboard and Staff
Dashboard.
 We have added Processor ID and Backup Processor ID as available columns. You can add these
columns to the portlet by selecting them in the Payroll Tracking tab of the Setup > Firm
Information > Firm screen.

When the Not Completed Payroll filter is selected, the application will now, by default, display any
payrolls that have a check date that falls within the next five business days and payrolls that have
a Time In Date or Checks Out Date of the current or next day.
Data conversion from Payroll CS to Accounting CS Payroll
We have addressed an issue that caused the application to import an incorrect total number of used
accruable benefit hours.

button on the toolbar, or by pressing CTRL+Y. You can also use the

Product support
From the Support Contact Information page on our website, you can complete a form to send a question
to our Support team. To speak directly with a Support Representative, call (800) 968-0600, press 2 for
Product Support, and listen to the available options. Normal weekday support is available from 9:00 a.m.
to 8:00 p.m. eastern time. For additional details (including extended support hours for tax season and

Website resources and email subscription
Visit our website to access the ARNE Community (an online user forum), to learn about training courses,
to view blogs and articles, and more. You can access the website from within Accounting CS by choosing
Help > On the Web > CS Professional Suite Home Page.
We issue software update notices via email. You can sign up to receive these notices by visiting the My
Account section of our website. You’ll need to create a web account (if you don’t already have one) and
then sign up for the Email Subscription service where you can indicate which notices you want to receive.
Accounting CS Ideas Community
The Accounting CS Ideas Community is a forum in which you can share ideas with other users and
provide feedback and suggestions to our development team. Through the forum, you can also upload and
share customized reports, financial statements, letters, or check layouts that might be helpful to other
firms. The enhancements that have been implemented based on customer suggestions voiced in the
