There are several design changes and updates to the new Model 500C & 500CE. Specifically,
these changes include a new lens and reflector assembly, a new bulb, an enclosed switch, and
our new “Posi-Lock” base. These modifications have greatly improved the Car Inspector's
Lantern, making it a much brighter light, and making it much more rugged. The new advanced
design will also minimize downtime when changing bulbs. In addition, an optional waterproof
boot for the switch is now available upon request for the lanterns. Another new feature now
offered by Star is the ability to hot stamp your 500C or 500CE with your railroad logo.
