AIM-1SL
Downloadable Single Door Interface
Local Database for up to 20,000 cards, Connections for Entry and Exit readers (plus
keypads), Supervised Inputs, Flash Memory, and up to 7000 event storage when offline.
The AIM-1SL utilizes the latest technology to provide the
ultimate reader interface. The local database provides for
storage of up to 20,000 cardholder records, providing
complete access control capabilities even if the interface is
off-line. Storage of up to 7,000 events when off-line
insures that historical records of off-line activity will be
maintained.
The AIM-1SL may be connected, via multi-drop RS-485,
to the AAM-20/80 and AAN-32/100 system controllers.
When used with the AAN series up to 32 readers may
be connected to a single RS-485 cable. Up to 96 readers
may be connected to a single AAN-100. The RS-485
interface circuitry of the AIM-1SL is located on a
separate, small, field replaceable, module providing
repair of the communications circuitry without removing
the entire interface.
The AIM-1SL has terminations for connection of one or
two Wiegand interface readers complete with 3 LED
lines ( Red, Yellow, Green ) and a buzzer control line. The
interface may be configured to use entry/exit readers for
anti-passback configurations or to use a single reader with
a push-button input for exit (REX). Each reader may also
be equipped with a keypad for use in a high security Card
plus PIN mode or the user friendly Card or PIN mode
(entry allowed without using a badge).
The AIM-1SL also has terminations for the door contact
input, exit pushbutton, and one or two auxiliary (general
purpose) alarm inputs. These inputs are all Grade “A”
supervised for increased security. The supervision may be
disabled when not required via a dip-switch.
The AIM-1SL supports all major reader technologies
including magnetic stripe, proximity, fingerprint, hand
geometry, barcode, long range infrared, and others. Many
of these reader types are available with integral keypads or
The AIM-1SL has a built-in 2 amp strike relay for direct the AP-410 may be connected with any of these to provide
control of the door locking device. The AIM-1SL also PIN capability.
provides an output for connection of up to 4 ADA-10/11,
external, high security, relay modules. The relays may be
added as required. The functions provided are high
security strike output, local alarm annunciation, and 2
general purpose programmable Aux outputs. The installer
has the choice of using the onboard strike relay or adding
the external ADA-10/11 relay for increased security.
