TECH NOTES
Firmware Loader – The updating of firmware for the DTP T UWP 232D and DTP T
UWP 332D requires the use of the Extron Firmware Loader software application,
version 5.1.0 or higher. This free firmware upgrade utility is available from the
Extron website.

KNOWN ISSUES
The following is a list of known firmware issues found in the DTP T UWP 232D and
DTP T UWP 332D version 1.05
Issue (originated in v1.00) – Deep Color input signals not displaying
properly – In applications where the input signals is HDMI format with Deep Color,
the image will not display. As of firmware version 1.02, the unit will automatically
modify the assigned EDID to remove Deep Color support (if it exists), which should
prevent Deep Color from being output from a source device.
Issue (originated in v 1.02) – Assigning input EDID to connected output
isn’t functioning properly – In applications where EDID assignment is based upon
the sink information, the image may not display properly. The workaround is to save
the sink EDID to a custom slot, then assign the EDID to that custom slot.

FIRMWARE RELEASE HISTORY
Released Version: 1.04
Affects:
Firmware Revision: 1.00
Date: Units shipped prior to Dec, 2014
The following is a list of changes and fixes in this release.
Fixed Issue (Originated in v1.02) – Loss of embedded audio when
disconnecting and reconnecting (hot plugging) certain laptops into the DTP
T UWP 232/332 HDMI inputs – Hot plugging some laptops to the input of the DTP
T UWP 232/332 could result in no HDMI embedded audio out. The issue has been
resolved.
Fixed Issue (Originated in v1.02) – Loss of embedded audio when power
cycling the DTP T UWP 232/332 – When power cycling the DTP T UWP 232/332,
it would lose HDMI embedded audio. This issue has been resolved.
Improved switching transition time between inputs and signal detection on
hot plug – The time for the image to display when switching inputs or applying a
new signal to the DTP T UWP 232/332 has been improved

FIRMWARE RELEASE HISTORY
Released Version: 1.02
Affects:
Firmware Revision: 1.00
Date: Units shipped prior to May, 2014
The following is a list of changes and fixes in this release.
Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – VGA and DVI input signals output in
HDMI format. – In the previous firmware version, VGA and DVI input signals were
converted and output in HDMI format. This would cause certain connected devices,
such as a downstream switcher with DTP inputs, to identify the output signal as
containing embedded audio, preventing the analog audio from being output. This
issue has been resolved; VGA and DVI input signals are now output in DVI format.
Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – Switching between inputs result in
lockup state. – In the previous firmware version, switching between input 1 and
input 2 up to unknown iterations would result in a lock up state, This issue has been
resolved.
Fixed Issue (Originated in v1.00) – Hot plugging of inputs will not always
display content – In the previous firmware version, multiple hot plugging of inputs
multiple times would result in failure of content output to display.
Fixed Issue (originated in v1.00) – Incompatibility with certain Cisco
Codecs – In the previous firmware version, no video would be detected when
connected to a downstream Cisco C60/C90 codec. This has been resolved.
Added Feature – Support for DTP T UWP 332 D model – With firmware version
1.02, the DTP T UWP 332D is now supported.
