Rosemount 8700M 8732EM magnetic flowmeter, 8705, 8711, 8721 flow sensor Reference Manual

Below you will find brief information for magnetic flowmeter 8700M 8732EM. The 8700M Magnetic Flowmeter Platform consists of a sensor and a transmitter. The sensor is installed in-line with the process piping; the transmitter can be remotely mounted or integrally mounted to the sensor. The flow sensor contains two magnetic coils located on opposite sides of the sensor. Two electrodes, located perpendicular to the coils and opposite each other, make contact with the liquid. The transmitter energizes the coils and creates a magnetic field. The transmitter converts the voltage detected by the electrodes into a flow reading.
