Operational Procedures
1) Remove LIFE/FLOAT™ from Bag
Open carry case and remove LIFE/FLOAT™ Rescue Board assembly.
2) Remove Latch from Pump
Remove black clip secured to pump to release pump baffle mechanism and twist pump
tube into fitting on board to provide seal.

3) Pump Up using Feet or Against Chest with Arms
Depress pump using feet against ground or boat hull repeatedly until unit is inflated. Note
that the overpressure valve will release air when the unit is fully inflated. If necessary, the
unit can be inflated by wrapping arms around the pump and setting against your chest and
repeatedly depressing pump until unit is inflated.

4) Get on Top/Paddle
Pull your body on top of unit using deck straps or side straps for assistance. Align you
body in the middle of the board facing toward the front of the board. Paddle using arms if
necessary. Multiple survivors can also lie on unit or simply hold onto unit for floatation
purposes until help arrives.
5) Attach Tow Rope as needed
Clip the Tow Rope to rescue vehicle or other object as necessary.

6) Signal for Help
Use hand signals (shown) or optional RescueStreamer (www.RescueStreamer.com) to
signal search vehicles from 1500 feet and over 1 mile away.
7) Utilize Reflectors
Face LIFE/FLOAT™ Rescue Board toward search lights to maximize reflective signaling
during nighttime hours.

8) Deflate for Storage
Remove pump fitting and/or valve top and depress valve stem (yellow top) and rotate
clockwise while pressing down, resulting in the valve stem in lower position (open
valve). To re-inflate, push valve stem and rotate counter-clockwise until valve stem pops
up for inflation. Note that in the valve stem “up” position, air can be pumped into the unit
and the pump valve can be removed without losing any air pressure.
9) Maintenance
Stow unit in a cool/dry place out of the sun. After use, rinse thoroughly with fresh water,
dry, fold and place in Storage Pouch. Re-stow unit in a cool/dry place out of the sun.
Repair kit is included and contains patching material and adhesive, in case
LIFE/FLOAT™ gets cut or punctured.

Do Not Attach to Boat (or other sinkable object)
Give Leeway to Power Vessels.
Repair Kit:
Perform all or your repairs in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid Inhaling glue vapors or swallowing.
Avoid contact with the skin or eyes.
Keep all repair materials (glue/solvents, etc.) from children’s reach
Accesssories:
RescueStreamer® (available at www.RescueStreamer.com)
(visibile from 1500’ and 1+ mile away, no batteries, chemicals or electronics.)
Inflation Options: Auto-Inflate, Compressed Gas, and Scuba Tank fittings.
