With today’s increased demand for high quality finished documents,
Morgana are pleased to introduce the DocuMaster MFC. This is the
latest in the DocuMaster range, designed to eliminate tedious and time
consuming operations by creasing the sheets as part of the feeding and
booklet making operation.
With multiple feed stations, the design allows for feeding of specialised
covers and booklet inside pages from separate feed bins while still
allowing for creasing of cover, centre or all pages of the book. The
Documaster MFC incorporates the new ‘DYNATILT” creasing system
which automatically registers each sheet and adjusts the mechanism to
ensure an accurate crease position every time.
Creasing of covers, centre spreads or indeed all sheets in the book if
needed, is simply programmed into the high definition touch screen
control unit. Simplicity of operation is key to finishing digitally printed
work. Today’s “on demand” culture means run lengths are smaller and
turnaround times are becoming shorter and shorter.

Controlled by a high definition touch panel, the DocuMaster MFC is given
full instructions as to the book size, amount of pages and crease position
etc. All settings and adjustments are made using the high definition
touch panel so operation couldn’t be simpler.
The heart of the DocuMaster MFC is the new ‘DYNATILT’ creasing
rule and matrix system. Morgana uses stepping motor technology to
accurately position the substrate before creasing; this gives total
and consistent accuracy during operation and the DocuMaster MFC is
no exception. Morgana take creasing one step further with the new
‘DYNATILT’ system which can with outstanding accuracy align each
sheet to make sure it is square before creasing. Morgana are the only
manufacturer offering this solution today.
With thousands of mechanisms installed throughout the world our
creasing technology is unparalleled in both performance and longevity,
which is why we offer a lifelong guarantee on the rule and matrix.
To ensure booklet integrity an automatically set electronic detector
checks for mis-feed, double sheet and empty feed stations. The unit is
fully automatic and self-calibrating.
Every sheet is checked regardless of stock thickness before being fed
into an accumulating station. In the unlikely event of a double feed the
machine immediately stops. Once the complete set has been gathered
it is released into the stitch-fold-trim unit.
An alpha numeric memory allows an unlimited number of jobs to be
stored and named as you choose. This makes job recall much easier as
you can use your own job name and numbers for storage.
The Square Back system enhances the appearance of finished documents
by creating a square effect finish adding value to the finished job. This
will change the way you and your clients think about finished booklets
because it transforms the book into one that lays flat and appears to
be perfect bound but with the added value of strength because of the
stitches. Quiet in operation the Square Back system can also be used
off-line to enable work from other devices to be professionally finished.
The DocuMaster MFC is ergonomically designed so that it can be loaded
(on the run) and unloaded very easily from one position. The footprint is
unusually small for a bookletmaking system and it will fit into even the
smallest of printrooms. The DocuMaster MFC utilises the latest advances
in paper feed modules. These modules can be specified as suction feed
only or suction and friction feed to a maximum of 4 separate feed
stations. The paper is fed from these units using a centre reference
sheet guide system and smart detection for sheet integrity.
DocuMaster MFC is the Multi-tasking champion. Use it as a booklet
maker, a creaser or collator to produce 4pp brochures on heavy stock
or to give the perfect bound appearance to pre-produced booklets.
The DocuMaster MFC will happily do them all. Near-line or off-line
finishing enables your print engine to operate at maximum speed. This
is often not the case when on-line finishers are used. Due to the high
productivity of the DocuMaster MFC, work from more than one print
engine can be finished.
