Complete with variable speed technology, the WeatherMaker 8000VS furnace is an excellent choice for qualityconscious homeowners.

The WeatherMaker 8000VS gas furnace with ComfortHeat ™ Technology offers maximum comfort and efficiency. Carrier’s

ComfortHeat ™ Technology delivers remarkable comfort by providing longer, smoother and quieter heating cycles for a more consistent indoor temperature. Due to the different stages of heating, this gas furnace helps eliminate uncomfortable temperature swings as well as the hot and cold drafts caused by the on and off cycling of an ordinary furnace. The slower blower speeds help reduce operational noise and minimize electrical use so you can enjoy consistent, quiet, energy-efficient indoor weather throughout every season.

To match the sound generated by one ordinary 80% gas furnace, you would have to install approximately four Carrier WeatherMaker

8000VS gas furnaces in your home. During the cooling mode, when the furnace fan is being used as an air handler, it would take up to ten WeatherMaker 8000VS gas furnaces to equal the sound of just one ordinary furnace. The ultra quiet operation of the Carrier

With our patented Thermidistat ™ Control, the WeatherMaker ®

8000VS gas furnace can remove up to thirty times more moisture from your home during cooling operation than a single-speed furnace.

With its wide range of speeds and patented smart electronics, this self-adjusting furnace is designed to deliver customized comfort. Carrier’s exclusive smart control board constantly monitors and adjusts furnace operation, controlling your indoor weather so you don’t have to. This unique microprocessor also provides a memory of past heating cycles and automatically determines how the least amount of energy can generate the highest level of comfort.

The WeatherMaker ® 8000VS gas furnace can even respond to increases in the humidity levels as part of a cooling system. All you have to do is choose a Carrier

Costs in this table are based on a 50,000 Btuh design heating requirement using an average fuel rate of $0.626 per therm and a nominal 3-ton air conditioner using an average electric rate of $0.0867 per kilowatt-hour.

12.0 SEER system to operate as efficiently as a 13.0 SEER system due to the electrical efficiency.

In addition to delivering consistent performance and energy-efficient operation, the

WeatherMaker 8000VS gas furnace is designed for longlasting reliability and rugged durability. For example, the crimped seam construction of our

Super-S ™ heat exchanger is designed to resist corrosion. The hot surface ignition safely and reliably starts the aluminized steel burners, eliminating

Enhanced indoor air quality is made easier with our air cleaner cabinet, an accessory for the

WeatherMaker 8000VS gas furnace.

When installed as a part of your system, this cabinet allows for the easy and convenient addition of a Carrier high-efficiency air filter. Ask your dealer if the air cleaner cabinet will work with your specific application.

Economical comfort is created by the two-speed inducer motor. This component ensures the proper flow of combustion gas through the heat exchanger for optimum heat transfer.

Quiet, consistent operation is due, in part, to the two-stage gas valve. This valve adjusts between high and low heating for consistent indoor weather and year-round comfort.
