Bezel removal and improper reinstallation of the bezel can permanently damage the drive.
Follow these bezel installation instructions to ensure trouble-free insertion and ejection of tape cartridges.

2 | REPLACING THE BEZEL
To replace the bezel:
1. Insert the bezel’s upper tabs into their respective openings at the
top of the tape drive chassis so that the notches catch on the drive
chassis. The top of the tape drive can be identified by the grid of
ventilation holes in the cover. (The bottom of the drive does not
have ventilation holes.)
1 | REMOVING THE BEZEL
To remove the tape drive’s bezel:
1. Using a small flat-blade screwdriver, push the bezel’s side catch
tabs on each side of the tape drive inward until they clear the
metal tabs attached to the tape drive chassis.

5. After the bezel is installed on the tape drive, make sure that the front door
opens and closes without resistance. If the door appears stuck when you
try to open it, the bezel is installed improperly. Remove the bezel and
follow the instructions in this section again, making sure that the door is
kept open when you install the bezel.
Attempting to force the door open with the bezel installed
incorrectly may result in damage to both the bezel and the tape
drive requiring factory repair.
