OVERVIEW

The standard Twin Tuner P/N 16100 can be used on 2008-2010 Buell



models equipped with electronic fuel injection using the new DDFI module with two 34 pin connectors including the 1125R model. The engine control module (ECM) and signal connections differ from those used on Twin Cam models. You can follow the general steps in the Twin Tuner installation instructions, except refer to Table 1 below for wiring hookup. Note that the

ECM has two 34 terminal Delphi connectors: gray and black. These Delphi connectors are very easily to disassemble. Press on the center white locking tab with a small screw driver to allow terminal removal. After installation of the Twin Tuner terminals, press the two white locking tabs on the opposite side of the connector to lock the terminals in place. If all the terminals are not completely seated, you cannot get the two locking tabs to snap in position. A good ground connection for the Twin Tuner can be found on the frame next to the fuse box (or horn mount on the 1125R model).

1125R models do not have a tach signal connection in the OE (original equipment) wire harness. However you must still install the blue wire from the Twin Tuner into terminal 22 on the black ECM connector. Remove the seal from terminal 22 and install it in position 2 on the mating Deutsch plug supplied with the Twin Tuner. On 1125R models the Twin Tuner can be attached on top of the ECM with Velcro strips.
