INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. 11. 12. 13. 14. Mount the empty Ale Python Controller (APC) on the wall approximately 1.5m to 2m above floor level. The unit should be within 3m of the remote cooler and must be with 2m of a standard 240v mains supply. The unit should be mounted in a chilled cellar. Ensure that the unit is level. NB. A template fir drilling the mounting holes is printed on the carton. Turn off power supply to remote cooler pump. (On a Classic this can be done by removing the power lead from the console.) Insert ‘T’ pieces into the remote cooler python flow and return lines as close as possible to the remote cooler pump. Using 3/8” OD, ¼” ID plastic tube connect between the remote cooler python flow ‘T’ piece and the “IN” socket on the APC. Using another piece of the same diameter plastic tube connect between the return line ‘T’ piece and the “OUT” socket on the APC. Using 3/8” ID 10mm wall thickness (minimum) insulation foam separately insulate both of these connection pipes. Connect the APC pump, flow and return outlets to the Ale Python. Remove the electrical cover from the APC, set thermostat between 4 and 5. Remove filler plug and fill tank with water until it overflows. Check APC pump supply plug is correctly in socket. Connect APC supply to mains and switch on. Maintain water level in APC tank by topping up as water is pumped into the python. DO NOT ALLOW PUMP TO RUN DRY. Once a steady level is maintained, replace filler bung and check Ale Python connections for leaks. Re-connect supply to remote cooler pump. Monitor APC temperature gauge and adjust thermostat until desired temperature is maintained. Replace electrical cover.
