Place the FAA STC and AML (if appropriate) in the Aircraft Maintenance Log and make an installation
entry.
•
The installation is now complete. Please review the use and care instructions.
Use and care instructions:
•
The visor slides, or extends, toward the rear of the aircraft when the visor is moved along the arm
while holding the red thumb tension knob. The red tension knob is spring loaded to allow adjustment,
to prevent motion during flight.
•
The recommended stow position is forward and overhead.
•
Tensioning adjustments should only be done on the ground.
•
Periodically adjust tension on all the pivot points so that they move freely but not loosely.
•
Tension in all the rotating axis’ can be adjusted to provide the desired stiffness of movement.
Appropriate sized Hex keys are supplied with your kit.
•
NOTE: Only small adjustments are needed.
Continued Airworthiness Instructions:
•
•
(On the ground only)
o
Periodically clean the lenses with a soft cloth, mild soap and water or an approved
aviation grade windscreen cleaner. Do not use abrasives on the lens.
o
Periodically adjust the pivot tensions on the visor assemblies.
