Stock Carburetor
Remove the Air-Cleaner assembly so you can see the
Throttle Control Mechanism. Loosen the nut that
secures the manual throttle lever so that the lever can
move freely. Locate the conduit bracket on the engine.
and fasten the end of the conduit with the bracket.
Thread the cable into the Wire Stop connector on the
engine. Tighten the screw on the Wire Stop

The Throttle Control Mechanism operates via the
throttle cable with a Pedal on a Gokart or a Twist Grip
on a Minibike. When installing a new throttle cable, you
will have to cut both the conduit (outside housing) and
the cable to fit your application. Since you can usually
only cut once, maybe twice, BE SURE BEFORE YOU

The Mikuni Carburetor does not use any of the
engine's stock throttle linkage. Instead, the Throttle
Cable just slides into the carb and secures into place
with a Wire Stop. Wire Stops can be crimped, brazed,
or fastened with a small screw. Some throttle cables
can be purchased with the wire stop in place, however,
then you cannot cut your cable to fit the length you
need. Crimping and Brazing require special tools. The
easiest and least expensive is a simple Wire Stop
available in the Throttle linkage Kit.
