Installation

1. Remove backplane bus cover

2. Insert SM into standard mounting rails

3. Guide the SM to the adjacent module

4. Lock the standard rail mounting clamp

5. Guide the bracket for the bus towards the adjacent module

• Replacement and extension of the CPU-internal load memory

Transfer card

• For transfer of project and program data into the CPU-

• Removal following data transfer

 CPU works with the data saved in your memory.

• For duplication of project and program data in multiple CPUs load

with an SD card slot

Copy protection with different methods for providing a target serial number:

Dynamic linkage:

automatic detection of a target serial number with linkage to this target serial number during the download on the CPU or memory card

Advantages:

• Both cases involve linkage of the block to a special

HW serial number for the CPU or the memory card

• A block with dynamic linkage in the TIA Portal project is not tied to a certain serial number but is protected via an additional password for copy protection (from STEP 7 V13 SP1)


