Frequently asked questions

The measuring range of the Hydrogen Cyanide Detector Tube No.12L 12L is 0.36 to 120 ppm.

The detecting limit of the Hydrogen Cyanide Detector Tube No.12L 12L is 0.1 ppm.

The Hydrogen Cyanide Detector Tube No.12L 12L is used with a Gastec Gas Sampling Pump. Please refer to the instructions provided with the pump operating manual. Break the tips off a fresh detector tube in the tube tip breaker of the pump. Insert the tube into the pump inlet with the arrow pointing towards the pump. Make certain the pump handle is all the way in. Align the guide marks on the pump body and handle. Pull the handle all the way out until it locks on 1 pump stroke. Wait 2 minutes and confirm the completion of the sampling. For lower than 2.5 ppm measurements, repeat the above sampling procedure 1 or 4 more times. For higher than 60 ppm measurements, prepare a fresh tube and take 1/2 pump stroke. Read the concentration at the interface of the stained to unstained reagent. If correction is needed, multiply the correction factors of humidity, pump strokes and pressure.
