4. Candidates shall also study and be assessed in modules to the value of 30 credits from List A:

Community Analysis
Policy Related and Evaluation Research
Supervision in Community Settings
Youth Policy and Practice
One 15 credit Level 4 module offered by the School of Applied
Social Sciences or from open modules offered elsewhere in the
University and approved by the programme director
A credit-bearing language module offered by the Centre for
Foreign Language Studies

5. Modules marked with a ~ must be passed at 50% or above; a mark of 40-49% cannot be compensated
6. Candidates who select a CFLS credit-bearing language module must select 185 credits in total.
7. Candidates in their final year for the MA must submit a dissertation (SOCI40060) of not more than 15,000
words (excluding footnotes, bibliography and any appendices).
