GB Installation instructions for the Schlüter -BEKOTEC-F system

1. Thoroughly clean the load bearing and level substrate.
2. Install the edge strip BRS 808 KSF with adhesive strip.
3. Door area – install the levelling panel EN FG (smooth foil panel).
4. Door area – adhere the double sided adhesive strips.
5. Door area – install the pipes. If applicable, install the expansion joint profile
Schlüter®-DILEX-DFP.
6. Distributor area – adhere the double sided adhesive tape to the floor.
7. Distributor area – install the levelling panel EN FG (smooth foil panel).
8. Distributor area – adhere the double sided adhesive tape.
9. Distributor area – install the studded screed panels EN 23 F over the levelling panel EN FG.
10. Distributor area – adhere pipe clamping components BTZRKL for pipe routing.
11. a) Installation of the screed panel – Cuts in the stud area: use an angle grinder.
b) Installation of the screed panel – Cuts between the studs: use a sharp knife or cutter to
pre-cut the material and then break it.
12. The installation direction is indicated by the tapered connection studs, which are shown in
green in the drawing. Cut segments that are longer than 30 cm can be used in the next
row.
13. The system heating pipes (ø 14 mm) are installed at double the installation distance to the
reversal loop. After the reversal point, the return line (blue) is inserted into the centre of the
remaining space. Important: Bend the heating pipes as shown in the drawing!
14. Installation of the screed mortar without reinforcement or movement joints.
Exception: joints or expansion joint profile Schlüter®-DILEX-DFP in door transition areas and
structural joints.
15. Install the screed with a minimum coverage of 8 mm. For levelling in some areas, the thickness of the screed may be increased to max. 25 mm.
16. Alternative to 14. and 15.: Install a flowing screed on the screed panel Schlüter®­BEKOTEC-EN 23 F. A spiked roller should be used to remove air pockets and achieve a
smooth level finish.
17. Install the uncoupling membrane Schlüter®-DITRA 25 in the fresh thin bed adhesive once
the screed is ready to bear weight (after approx. 2-3 days).
The residual moisture level of calcium sulfate screeds should be ≤ 2%.
18. Install the movement joint profile Schlüter®-DILEX-BWS or Schlüter®-DILEX-KS over
Schlüter®-DITRA 25.
19. Install the edge movement profile Schlüter®-DILEX-EK.
20. Install the tile covering over Schlüter®-DITRA 25 in thin bed adhesive.
