Individual appliance at the end of the
kitchen
If one side of the appliance is visible, a side panel must
be used.
The side panel must be connected firmly to the wall, the
floor and overhead cabinet/fixtures before the appliance
is placed in the installation enclosure.
The dimensions of the side panel are taken from the
opposite installation enclosure wall. During installation
ensure that the installation enclosure is square and the
proper size.
Individual appliances with partition



6
When dimensioning the partition for model 4, note
the thickness of the furniture fronts to prevent
damage if the doors are opened at the same time.
Use the Heater Kit for Side-by-Side installation if the
gap between the appliances is less
than 6" (160 mm).
See the section on “Required accessories and
tools/Optional accessories”.
Minimum thickness of the partition 5/8" (16 mm).
Installation
,
Do not install the appliance:
It is important to observe the specified dimensions of the
installation enclosure for a trouble-free installation of the
appliance.
 in an environment with dripping water,
In particular ensure that the installation enclosure is
square.
WARNING:
 outdoors,
 in rooms which are less than 32 °F (0 °C).
Appliance is very heavy:
BottomFreezer 36":
Empty weight approx.
430 Ibs/195 kg
Installation room
The appliance should be installed in a dry, ventilated
room.
The ambient temperature should not drop below 55 °F
(13 °C) or rise above 110 °F (43 °C), otherwise
malfunctions may occur.
The installation location should not be exposed to direct
sunlight and not placed near a heat source, such as an
oven, radiator, etc. If installation next to a heat source is
unavoidable, use a suitable insulating plate or observe
the following minimum distances from the heat source:
 11/4" (30 mm) from an electric range,

12" (300 mm) from a gas range.
Stable installation
The appliance is very heavy and has a tendency to tilt
forwards when the appliance door is opened.
Do not open the door until there is no possibility of the
appliance tilting over.
The safest method of installing the appliance in a stable
position is to use the supplied anti-tip devices.
If the installation enclosure is adequately stable and the
appliance can be attached securely to the upper and
side walls of the installation enclosure, this may provide
additional stability. A prerequisite for this is always a firm
connection between the installation enclosure and back
wall!
Squareness can be checked by suitable means,
