N G L I S H The SR1500, SF1500 and the BR1000 are efficient zone heating systems that will provide safe, comfortable, clean and economical heat. The Infrared Quartz Heating Elements that generate the heat in the units do not produce fumes or deadly monoxides. All the air that passes through the unit passes through an efficient Polytron Filter before being heated by the Infrared Heating Elements. The hot air that exits the unit circulates the heat much nearer the floor than other heaters thereby producing warmth at floor level and a more even heat throughout the room. With proper care, maintenance, and operation your unit will provide a better, more comfortable environment for many years. Extensive testing of the technology used in these products has proven this method of heating to be both safe and effective. Warranty. N G L I S H SR1500 & BR1000 MODELS To operate the SR1500 and the BR1000 simply plug the unit in, set the thermostat (located on the rear of the unit) to the desired comfort zone, then depress the switch on the front of the unit. SF1500 MODELS To operate the SF1500 simply plug the unit in, set the thermostat (located on the rear of the unit) to the desired comfort zone, set the OPTI-SWITCH™ on the rear of the unit to HIGH or LOW then depress the switch on the front of the unit. In about a minute the internal fan will come on delivering hot air into the room. PERFORMANCE RECOMMENDATIONS To assure the best performance of the heater, the following are suggested: 1 ` For maximum efficiency, locate the heater on an inside wall exhausting towards an outside wall. 2 The heater is not recommended for areas with exposed, un-insulated concrete or metal walls. 3 The heater works most efficiently when relative humidity is higher. Turn on humidification options you may have. 4 Lower your thermostat to 65 - 70 degrees for best performance and energy savings. 5 E N G L I S H CABINET CARE & CLEANING To maintain the furniture quality cabinet, use any commercial dusting or polishing product. FILTER MAINTENANCE The heater comes equipped with a lifetime washable Polytron Filter. The filter is easy to clean, and the manufacturer recommends that it be cleaned once a month or as needed. To clean: 1 Unplug unit then remove the filter from the rear of the unit. 2 Run warm water through the filter in the opposite direction to the airflow until the filter is sufficiently clear of dirt and dust. 3 Shake the filter until all the excess water is removed. 4 Replace the filter. NOTE: A mild detergent may be used to clean the filter if water alone does not clean it sufficiently. Troubleshooting. Why does the fan not turn on? A. Give the heating chamber 1 minute to warm-up before the fans turn on. B. Check the fuse or circuit breaker in your home. Why does the blower fan keep running after I’ve turned the fan off? The blower fan will continue to run until the heat chambers have cooled down. After a few minutes the fans will shut off automatically. Why has the heater’s air flow seem to have diminished? Make sure the intake is not blocked and that the filter is clean. Follow the “Filter Maintenance” procedure above. Once the unit is initially turned on, how long will it take to heat my room? Generally less than 1 hour. Please remember with any heating process there are many variables: size of the room, how well the room is insulated, how many doors and windows, the opening and closing of doors, and how high the ceilings are. 6 F Introduction.
