2nd Gen Astro2 External Battery
Compatibility maximized: Meeting your device’s unique charging needs.
Ever wonder why your smartphone charges faster from some charging ports
and slower from others? Often, it's not just the power that your charger can
offer. Instead, it comes down to compatibility. Some ports simply don't speak
the right language to open up your device to full speed charging. Try plugging
an iPad into an Android adapter and your charge time could double.
Our solution? PowerIQ™ technology communicates with any connected
device by speaking its unique charging language. Each port intelligently
identifies your device and adapts to its specific recharge rate. So thanks to
PowerIQ™, together with Anker’s industry-leading output, you can enjoy
maximum compatibility that doesn’t limit your charging speed.

How to Charge Your Astro2
1. Attach the micro USB cable to the Astro2's micro USB input port.
2. Insert the other end of the cable into either (a) an AC adapter (not
included) connected to a wall socket or (b) an active computer USB port. The
Anker Astro2 External Battery is fully compatible with all 5V AC adapters.
Reference the chart below for the charging times of different adapters.
3. The Smart LED power meter will light up. The constantly lit portion of the
LED circle shows the current level of charge while the cascading LEDs display
the portion still charging. The power meter will shut off once the Astro2 has
completed charging.

Usage Notes
1. Keep the product away from extreme heat or cold, as well as any flammable
items or damp places. Also avoid dropping, hitting or throwing the product.
2. Please fully charge your external battery at least once every 4 months to
avoid shortening its lifespan.
3. Do not try to charge and discharge the Astro2 at the same time, as this may
reduce the battery’s lifespan.
4. The battery is 92% efficient, accounting for power lost through circuit heat and
voltage conversion, which is up to 10% above the industry average. Energy is also
lost within the charging cable and your device (approximately 15-20%).
5. The LEDs’ power consumption is extremely low, with 100,000 shakes
consuming less than 1% of the battery’s capacity. So unintentional activation, like
bouncing around in your bag, will not noticeably detract from the battery's capacity.
