Remove the packing and make sure that the appliance is intact, with special attention to the supply cable. The elements of the packing (plastic bags, polystyrene, etc) do not have to be accessible to the children, in order to preserve them from danger sources. It is recommended not to throw these packing material in the domestic waste, but to deliver them to the appropriate station of collection or destruction refusals, asking eventually information to the manager of the Sanitation Department of your own municipality. Before connecting the appliance make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the data specified on the label. If the plug does not suit the socket, let it be replaced with another suitable plug by qualified personnel only, which shall also ensure that the section of the socket cables is suitable for your appliance power absorption. Do not pull the mains cable or the appliance itself when disconnecting the plug from the socket. Do not let cord hang over edge of table, or touch sharp or hot surface. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Generally, the use adaptors multiple plugs and/or extensions is not recommended; should they be necessary, please use only simple or multiple adaptors and extensions in compliance with the safety rules in force, making sure that the capacity absorption limit marked on the simple adaptors and the extensions and the maximum power limit marked on the multiple adaptor are not exceeded. This appliance is to be destined to its special purpose only. Any other use is to be considered as improper and thus dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be responsible for any damages deriving from improper, wrong or incautious use. This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cord, plug or any parts of the appliance into water or other liquids. Before cleaning or care, always unplug the appliance from the socket. Also make any dangerous parts unserviceable, especially for children who could play with the appliance. 9 Rechargeable Cheese Grater Use instructions USE INSTRUCTION Check that the main voltage correspond to the one written on the rating label. Do not dismantle pieces or make it repaired with non original spare parts. Do not substitute the original charger with another one. Do not wash the cheese grater under current water. Do not put hands or fingers into the cheese grater when working. Do not push food with fingers into the funnel (2), but only use the press handle (1) of the cheese grater. Make sure children do not play with the cheese grater. For household use only. DESCRIPTION 1 – Lock/unlock button 2 – Locking tab 3 – Steel stainless rollers (3) 4 – Press handle 5 – Funnel 6 – Switch on/off 7 – Ergonomic handle 8 – Battery case 9 – Battery 10 – Charger 11 – Charge light indicator USE INSTRUCTION CHARGE/RECHARGE OF THE GRATER The rechargeable battery provide the energy necessary to make the grater working and has to be daily recharged. Insert the battery (9) into the charger (10) and plug on the socket. The charge light indicator (11) lights when the charger is correctly connected to the socket. (Fig.2) The complete charge last approx. 3 hours, for a 40 minutes battery life use. When recharge is complete remove the battery (9) from the charger and put it into the grater. The battery life may vary according to the kind of food and the state of the battery charge of the grater. For better performance of charger capacity, let the battery completely low and start again with charging it. This operation has to be made various times a year to allow better results. 10 Rechargeable Cheese Grater Use instructions HOW TO USE IT The rechargeable grater has been manufactured to grater Parmesan and Grana Padano; it can be also used to grater other kinds of cheese, hard of soft cheese. It cannot be used with food that contain much of liquids (as tomatoes, mozzarella, fresh fruits, etc.). When used for the first time, or after a long period without using it, wash the rollers (3) into warm water and wash liquid, rinse and wipe well. It is possible to choose between 3 different rollers : a. big grater roller b. fine grater roller c. cheese flakes Insert the desired roller (3) into the grater, press the unlock button to unlock the roll (1); push and turn until the roller is completely inserted. Release the lock/unlock button (1) and check that it is correctly inserted. Insert the battery (9) charged into the battery case (8) on the back of the grater, locking tab are to be aligned with the slots and push the battery until complete insertion. The cheese grater is ready to be used. Cut the food in pieces and insert them into the funnel (5) and pull down the press handle (4). Press switch on/off to start (6) and keep the button pressed. Keep the cheese grater in tilt position to collect the grated food. When complete, release (and do not press) the switch on/off (6). To remove the roller, press on lock/unlock button (1) turn and pull on the roller. Then release the lock/unlock button (1). When using the cheese grater, if some cheese or other food is blocked into the roller, shake the cheese grater to remove pieces of food. 11 Rechargeable Cheese Grater Use instructions CLEANING Remove the battery from the cheese grater and disconnect the plug from the socket before care or cleaning. Handle the rollers with caution to avoid cutting yourself. For health reason, keep the cheese grater always clean. Remove the roller (3) and clean carefully with warm water and using a brush. It is recommended to wash the rollers after use. Clean carefully inside the funnel (5) with a damp cloth. Clean the grater unit with a damp sponge and wipe. Do not immerse the cheese grater into water. The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obliga tion, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be separately collected. 12 GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE This appliance has been checked in the factory. From the date of original purchase a 24 month guarantee applies to material and production defects. The purchase receipt and the guarantee certificate must be submitted together in case of claim to guarantee. For any technical assistance, please contact directly the seller or our head office in order to preserve the appliance’s efficiency and NOT TO void the guarantee. Any intervention on this appliance by non-authorized persons will automatically void the guarantee. Guarantee conditions If the appliance shows defects as a result of faulty material and/or production during the period of guarantee, we guarantee repair free of charge on condition that: - The appliance has been used properly and for the purpose for which it has been intended. - Repairs are professionally carried out by qualified persons who are appointed by the supplier. - The purchase receipt shall be presented. - The appliance showing a fair wear and tear shall not be covered by this guarantee. Therefore, any part that could be accidentally broken or having visible signs of use in consumable products (such as lamps, batteries, heating elements…) is excluded from the guarantee, and any defect whatsoever resulting from non-respect of the rules for use, negligence in usage and/or maintenance of the appliance, damage during transport and any other damage not attributable the supplier. For every defect that could not be repaired within the guarantee period, the appliance will be replaced free of charge.
