1 GENERAL
1.1 General Information
Study the operating instructions carefully before use. The person who prescribes the product
or who is otherwise responsible for the user must ensure that the product is suitable for
the user.
1.2 Symbols
Signal words are used in this manual an apply to hazards or unsafe practices which could result
in personal injury or property damage. See the information below for definitions of the signal
words.
WARNING
Warning indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result
in death or serious injury.

Gives useful tips, recommendations and information for efficient, trouble-free use.
This product complies with Directive 93/42/EEC concerning medical devices.
The launch date of this product is stated in the EC declaration of conformity.
1.3 Product Life Cycle
The expected product life cycle of this product is 5 years when used in accordance with safety
instructions, maintenance intervals and correct use, stated in this manual. The effective product life cycle can vary according to frequency and intensity of use.

1.5 User Weight Limitation
Your walker should only be used as a walking aid! User’s max. weight: LEGACY 125 kg
(275 lbs., 20 stones).
INVACARE will not accept responsibility for adaptations, faulty repairs, etc, that are outside their control. *
* The weight limitation includes the contents of the basket or tray and the weight of the
user whether standing or sitting.

Contact carrier/dealer for further instruction.
2.1 Intended Use
The rollator is intended to support a person during walking and may also serve as a resting
seat. The rollator is also intended to be able to carry a load either in the basket or on the tray.
The rollator is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. The rollator must not be used under water, for example in a pool or open air bath, neither in hot areas, for example in saunas.
The user manual shall always be handed over to the user.
2.2 General Warnings
WARNING
Exercise caution when walking on sloping ground.
WARNING
Never lift the rollator in the folding handle when it is in use.
WARNING
Not to be used for standing on or as a wheelchair.

Do not go up or down stairs with the rollator.
Do not use the rollator on escalators.
Do not under any circumstances stand on the walker.
If the push handles or the seat are exposed to extreme temperature (above
41°C) there might be risk for first degree burns.
The walker must be fully unfolded when used as walking support
Use seat for stationary seating only, both brakes must be in parking position
when the rollator is used as a seat.
Never sit and push with your feet.
The handlebar must not be angled outwards as this reduces the rollator’s lateral
stability.
The parking brakes must be in braked position when the rollator is used as a support when getting up, for example from a chair.
Exercise caution when there is a heavy load in the basket. Loads should solely be
transported in the basket or on the tray.
Max load for the 520 and 600 models:
In the basket: 9 kg (20 Ibs) and on the tray: 5 kg (11 lbs).
Max load for the 450 model:
In the basket: 7 kg (15 Ibs) and on the tray: 5 kg (11 lbs).

3 USAGE
3.1 Operating Position
To reset to walking position, press firmly downwards on the seat until a clicking sound is
heard. In order to increase accessibility, the seat can be folded up to provide a larger walking
space.
WARNING
Always check that the safety latch is in locked position.
3.2 Folding the Rollator
To fold the rollator, lift up the handle. When folded, the rollator is easy to lift and carry.
3.3 Adjusting the Handle Height
To adjust the handle to a suitable height, stand behind the walker with the shoulders level.
The handles should be at the same height as the user’s wrist. A therapist may suggest different
handle heights to accomodate the special needs of a user.
Loosen the knob completely, remove the screw. Adjust the handle to suitable height. Fix the
screw into the hexagonal hole and fasten the knob properly.

3.4 Adjustment of Brake Effect
For desirable braking strength, adjust the brake wire. Suitable tools 1x8 mm and 1x10 mm
spanner (not included).
WARNING
Make sure to tighten the lock nuts after adjustment.
3.5 Using the Handbrake
Apply the brakes by pulling both brake handles upwards.
3.6 Using the Parking Brake
Press down carefully for parking brake. A clear sound is heard when the brake is placed in
correct position.

It is important that both brakes are put into parking position.
To release the brake pull the brake handle upwards.

4 CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Maintenace should be done at least once a year. Do not use an abrasive detergent,
cleaner or cloth to clean or dry the walker.
To ensure good performance and safety you should regularly check that the following is
carried out:
Clean the rollator with solvent-free household cleaner. Keep the wheels clean.
Ensure that screws and adjustments are properly tightened.
Immediately contact the nearest dealer if a fault should appear.
Never use a defective walker. Do not attempt repairs by yourself!
Verify brake operation. If brake adjustment is required, see section 3.4 in the user manual.
If hand grips are loose Do not use the rollator. Change hand grips according to the service
instructions which can be obtained from your Invacare representative.
Periodically inspect the castors tightness, wear and damage.
Make sure that the wheels are free of hair, lint and other debris.
5 AFTER USE
5.1 Disposal
When the product can no longer be used, it and its accessories as well as the packaging material should be sorted in the correct way. The individual parts can be separated and handled
according to the list specification.
Frame: Polyester powder coated steel tubes.
Handle bars: Chromated steel.
Handgrips: TPE.
Wheels: Polypropene with treads of TPE
Plastic parts: Material according to marking (PA, PP, PE)
Please be environmentally responsible and recycle this product through your recycling facility
at its end of life.
5.2 After Use
WARNING: Risk of Injury
Always inspect the product according to the service instructions before transferring the product to a different user. If any damage is found Do not use the product.
Otherwise injury may occur.
The service instructions can be obtained from your Invacare representative.

6 WARRANTY
We supply a 2 year guarantee ** from the date of delivery. Damage caused by wear to items
such as wheels, handles and brakes is not covered by the guarantee. Damage that arises due to
abnormal use is excluded. Damage caused by users who weigh more than 125 kg is excluded.
Maintenance and operating instructions must be observed for the guarantee to be valid.
