Dayton End Skirts
®
Description
Dayton end skirts are designed for use with Type I Hoods. End skirts improve hood
performance and mitigate effects of small cross drafts on hood capture. Left and
right end skirts included. Constructed of 430 stainless steel.

Installation
Installation,
troubleshooting and
parts replacement is to be performed
only by a qualified personnel. Consult
and follow NFPA 96 recommendations.
NFPA 96 instructions supersede this
document.
1. Install end skirts after the hood is
hung in position.
2. Slide the hemmed form on top of
the end skirt onto the end panel of
the hood.

3. With the end skirt positioned
against the wall, drill a hole in the
hood end panel to line up with the
hole(s) in the end skirt. Attach end
skirt to the inside of the hood using
1/4" bolts and cap nuts provided, or
tack-weld the end skirt to the hood.
6. Caulk internal joints formed by
the end skirts and the hood end
panels with NSF Approved silicone
caulk (by others), GE SCS1000 or its
equivalent.
7. To allow for ease in cleaning, also
caulk all the external seams.
4. Attach end skirts to wall using
adequate fasteners (by others)
depending on the wall construction.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for
remaining end skirt.

USER AGAINST DEFECTS IN WORKMANSHIP OR MATERIALS UNDER NORMAL USE FOR ONE YEAR AFTER DATE OF PURCHASE. ANY PART WHICH IS DETERMINED TO BE DEFECTIVE IN
MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHIP AND RETURNED TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE LOCATION, AS DAYTON DESIGNATES, SHIPPING COSTS PREPAID, WILL BE, AS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY,

buyer on delivery to common carrier. If product was damaged in transit to you, file claim with carrier.
