MMX-30 A CH G G 3-Channel Stereo Mixer GB Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the unit and keep them for later reference. 1 Applications No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for any resulting personal damage or material damage will be accepted if the units are used for other purposes than originally intended, if they are not correctly connected or operated, or not repaired in an expert way. The MMX-30 allows to mix the output signals of three audio units (e. g. CD player, tape deck, MP3 player) to one stereo master signal. The master signal can be monitored via two headphones. 2 Safety Notes The units (mixer and power supply unit) correspond to all required directives of the EU and are therefore marked with . WARNING The plug-in power supply unit is supplied with hazardous mains voltage. Leave servicing to skilled personnel only. Inexpert handling may cause an electric shock hazard. www.imgstageline.com G The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect them against dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C). G Do not set the mixer into operation, and immediately disconnect the power supply unit from the mains socket if 1. there is visible damage to the mixer or to the power supply unit, 2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or similar accident, 3. there are malfunctions. The units must in any case be repaired by skilled personnel. G For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use chemicals or water. If the units are to be put out of operation definitively, take them to a local recycling plant for a disposal which is not harmful to the environment. 3 Connections 1) Connect the audio units to the jacks INPUT (6). 2) Feed the master signal of the jacks OUTPUT (7) to the line input of the following audio unit (e. g. mixer, amplifier). 3) To monitor the master signal, it is possible to connect one headphone respectively to each of the two jacks PHONES (2). 4) Connect the low voltage plug of the power supply unit to the jack “12 V ” (8) and the power supply unit to a mains socket (230 V~ / 50 Hz). 4 Operation 1) Switch on the unit with the POWER switch (1). The LED above the switch lights up. 2) For the basic setting turn the control LEVEL MASTER (4) to mid-position. 3) With the controls LEVEL CH 1 to CH 3 (5) mix the signals of the connected audio units or fade them in and out. Turn the controls of the channels not used to the left stop to minimum. As a check the LEDs SIG. / PEAK above the controls show green from a certain signal intensity. If one of the LEDs shows red, turn back the corresponding control so that the channel will not be overloaded. 4) Match the output level of the MMX-30 with the control LEVEL MASTER to the following audio unit. If the LED PEAK above the control shows red, turn back the control correspondingly so that the output will not be overloaded. 5) Adjust the volume of the connected headphones with the control LEVEL PHONES (3). The volume is independent of the adjustment of the control LEVEL MASTER. WARNING! Never adjust a very high headphone volume. Permanent high volumes may damage your hearing! The human ear gets accustomed to high volumes which do not seem to be that high any more after some time. Therefore, do not further increase a high volume which has once been adjusted after getting used to it. 6) After operation switch off the mixer with the POWER switch. If it is not used for a longer time, disconnect the power supply unit from the mains socket so that there will be no unnecessary power consumption. 5 Specifications Input sensitivity: . . . . . . . . .
