Source Device
Front View
The following equipment must be installed on the source device or computer that acts
as a source of HDMI content:
• HDMI Type A output connector(s)

Lights green to indicate that the input device
is powered on.
Display Device(s)
• A display device or receiver with an HDMI Type A input connector
for each output port you will be installing.
Cables
• A HDMI cable for the source device you will be installing
• A HDMI cable for each output port you will be installing
Note:
1. A DVI/HDMI adapter is required when connecting to a DVI source or display device.
2. If a DVI/HDMI adapter is used, audio is not supported.
3. We recommend using high-quality cables when cascading HDMI splitters to maintain
a strong video signal.

Refer to the installation diagram below and do the following:
1. Use a Male to Male Type A HDMI cable to connect
your computer or HDMI source device to the
VS182/VS184’s Input port.
2. Use up to four Male to Male Type A HDMI cables to
connect up to four HDMI displays devices to the
VS182 / VS184’s Output ports.
3. Plug the power adapter that came with your switch
into an AC power source, then plug the power
adapter cable into the splitter’s Power Jack.

cascaded from the VS182 / VS184’s Output ports. Simply use
additional Male to Male Type A HDMI cables to connect an
Output port on the parent splitter to the Input port of the child
splitter.
