Frequently asked questions

Refer to Diagram A on page 3 of the viewed document. The top thread should be run between the thread clamps from the top, through the second thread guide eye, through the eye of the take-up lever, and finally through the thread hole from left to right.

Press the rewind pole inside the hand wheel and rotate it anti clockwise. Release the spindle and place the full cotton reel onto it. Run the thread from left to right through the empty bobbin’s centre hole and one of the holes on the bobbin. Place the empty bobbin on the pole and wind the thread around it four to five times in a clockwise direction. Guide the thread as per the photograph. Turn the power on and start winding. Cut off the thread, take the bobbin off the pole, and then insert the pole back into the hand wheel and rotate clockwise. Push the spindle back into the top of the unit.

The machine comes with a size 90/14 needle. You can use other sizes, such as 9/70 for fine fabrics, 11/80 for lightweight fabrics, and 16/100 for heavyweight fabrics.
