Power Vision Enterprise
Security Management System
Overview
Power Vision™ Enterprise is a widely used and field proven
Integrated Security Management System that runs under the
popular 32-bit Microsoft Windows NT Operating System.
The system allows you to control access for single-site or
multiple-site installations anywhere in the world and provides
you with the power and flexibility to exercise complete con-
trol over who goes where and when, creates detailed card-
holder records and customizes system responses.
Each system is scaleable in hardware as well as software
modules, from single PC workstation to multi-users network
based enterprise-wide configurations. Workstations can be
configured either in a LAN and/or WAN environment, offering
an extremely flexible enterprise wide operations suitable for
large corporate organizations with multiple remote sites or
buildings.
Power Vision™ Enterprise operates with the powerful Series
8000 Terminal Control Units, as well as other range of ADC’s
equipment, including C³ card readers, alarm monitoring input
units and output control devices, etc. Power Vision™ Enter-
prise can be connected to 128 units of Series 8000 TCU in a
single site, with each TCU supporting up to 16 readers. This
means a total of 2,048 readers per site can be connected to
the Power Vision™ Enterprise running on a central computer
(maximum 255 sites).
Whatever your needs are, Power Vision™ Enterprise provides
seamless integration with multiple applications such as
access control of doors, elevators, car parks, alarm monitor-
ing, guard tour, ID card badging, CCTV system, BAS, IBMS,
fire alarm system, office automation system, email and paging
systems.
System Highlights
Supports up to 20,000 Cardholder Capacity
You can expand from 1,000 to 20,000 cardholder capacity
anytime based on your operational requirement needs.
Supports Multiple Card Reading Technology
Power Vision™ Enterprise supports virtually any type of card
reader technology including proximity (RFID), contact and
contactless smart card. A mixture of different card readers
can be implemented within a single system.
Customized Reporting Capabilities
Power Vision™ Enterprise offers a Report Generator program
that generates a variety of customized and comprehensive
reports. Users can choose to generate reports based on
weekly, monthly, a pre-defined date range or through simple
query commands (SQL -Structured Query Language).
Communications Connectivity via TCP/IP
All system software application modules communicate via
TCP/IP allowing any module to be installed in any manned
computer or unmanned gateway servers. The communication
module - PV Talkative™ provides support for a wide range of
communication schemes including direct connections and
network connectivity. Other third party systems are inte-
grated to this communication module via separate middle-
ware software without affecting the performance of any
Power Vision™ Security Management system software appli-
cation module.

· PV MapView Plus™
· PV MapEditor Plus™
· PV GuardView™
· PV CardMaster™
· PV TimeMaster Plus™
· PV Messenger™
PV Database™
PV Database™ forms the core of the system as it contains all
cardholder information as well as system programming
parameters. Utilizing a powerful 32-bit ODBC compliant
database engine, Power Vision™ Enterprise allows enterprise-
wide data communication with any ODBC compliant database
engines. ODBC connectivity also makes it possible to use
third party report tools, such as Crystal Reports to generate
and customized reports like statistical or graphical reports of
system activity.
PV TransactionView™
PV TransactionView™ provides a detailed audit trail of all
access control events, alarm events, system driven automatic
events as well as operator’s actions events. The status mes-
sage of a monitor point can be tagged to a graphical icon to
allow easy layman interpretation at a glance.
PV TimeMaster Plus™
PV TimeMaster Plus™ provides a comprehensive time manage-
ment solution that computes employees’ daily ‘clock-in-time’
and ‘clock-out-time’.
Transactions are captured and processed and extensive
reports can be generated to list the sum of working hours of
all employees. Processed data can be converted into different
data format and can be exported to work with other third
party software such as payroll, etc.
PV CardMaster Plus™
PV CardMaster™ allows cardholder images to be captured
from a video camera or scanned from a high resolution
scanner, and then printout directly onto a dye sublimation
printer of 300 dpi resolution.
PV CardMaster™ is integrated to the same database of the
security system and each cardholder file is tagged to a
graphic image file. Each cardholder’s information is entered
here or can be imported from the OA System through an
automatic synchronization process.
Extensive built-in software tools allow card layout design,
image replacement and editing, text and graphic placement,
color selection, color mixing etc.
PV MapView Plus™
PV MapView Plus™ provides graphical display of floor plans
customized to your facility by importing floor plans from CAD
files. Icons representing doors, alarm points, etc. can be
placed on the floor plans giving the operator a dynamic visual
reference when events occur. Clicking on an icon allows you
to perform functions associated with that point such as
unlocking a door or arm/disarm an alarm point directly from
the map. Icons are dynamic and will animate into different
shapes when its status changes.
Simplified control buttons for each point can be labeled as
LOCK, UNLOCK, AUTO, ARM, DISARM, ON, OFF when associ-
ating it to its pop-up control panel. This means that the user
have distinctive choice of buttons to click and not relying on
pull-down menu options.
PV Messenger™
PV Messenger™ provides a seamless interface option to send
a page via modem or e-mail to a paging service or via a serial
port to a local paging terminal.
Emails can be activated based on triggered events, transac-
tions under normal or alarm conditions. It can also send out
heartbeat signals separately for hardware status. Each mail
message consists of full description of the event or alarm,
location, ID and time/date stamp.
Emails can be sent to multiple parties and relayed to recipi-
ents via LAN, WAN and standard Internet gateways world-
wide. The prowess of this function provides an unlimited
means of information transfer to recipients.PV GuardView™
PV GuardView™ monitors the progress of guard tour routes. It
supports multiple active guard tour routes and each route is
displayed independently in its own window. Guard tour
transactions are generated when a guard presents his card at
a designated card reader. These transactions are processed
and the results are displayed either in textual or graphical
view depending on which view mode is selected.
PV Visitor Manager™
PV Visitor Manager™ offers a web-based Intranet solution that
manages visitor’s schedules and facility booking. Employees
who are expecting visitor(s) to their facility will enter the
visitor’s name and schedule into a visitor management system
database. Such entry is used by the receptionist to verify the
visitor’s identity when the visitor(s) arrives for the appoint-
ment. This process is then integrated to specific access
control readers installed outside designated facilities e.g.
meeting rooms, to allow staff to use the rooms for the dura-
tion of the meeting.Such paperless management of facilities
(booking) serves as a productivity tool to maximize the usage
of a company’s resources.
