Frequently Answers and Questions
What is the RIGIFLEX-N coupling used for?
The RIGIFLEX-N coupling is designed to compensate for shaft misalignment, which can occur due to thermal expansion, foundation settling, or other factors. This helps to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the connected machinery.
What are the safety considerations for using the RIGIFLEX-N coupling?
The RIGIFLEX-N coupling is suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres, however, it is crucial to follow the safety instructions in the manual, including proper assembly, operation, and maintenance. Always ensure the drive train is secured against accidental switch-on and avoid contact with rotating parts.
Are there any limitations on the use of the RIGIFLEX-N coupling?
The RIGIFLEX-N coupling is not suitable for use with attachments that generate heat, sparks, or static charging, such as brake drums, brake disks, overload systems, or fan impellers. These applications require a separate analysis.
