KTR ROTEX Operating/Mounting Instructions

KTR ROTEX Operating/Mounting Instructions

KTR ROTEX is a torsionally flexible jaw coupling, designed to compensate for shaft misalignment, for example caused by manufacturing inaccuracies, thermal expansion, etc. The ROTEX® types ZS-DKM, ZS-DKM-H and ZS-DKM-SH allow for larger radial displacements. The standard series can be used with horizontal mounting only. The coupling is suitable and approved for the use in potentially explosive atmospheres. These instructions are part of your product - please store them carefully.

Frequently Answers and Questions

What types of ROTEX® couplings are described in the document?
The document covers ROTEX® types ZS-DKM, ZS-DKM-H and ZS-DKM-SH, and their combinations.
What are the main components of the coupling?
The ROTEX® coupling consists of hubs, spiders, driving flanges, spacer and setscrews. The exact components depend on the specific type.
What are the maximum permissible bore diameters?
The maximum permissible bore diameters must not be exceeded. This information is available in the technical data section of the document.
How to align the couplings?
The document recommends using a dial gauge, ruler or feeler to check the permissible displacement figures for accurate shaft alignment.
